Hi guys! Today I’m going to be sharing with you my current hair care routine. I’ve been trying a few different things over the past few months and I feel like I’m happy with how my hair has been lately. As you guys know I have very fine and thin hair and this hair care routine has left my hair feeling soft, moisturized and a little more voluminous. Let me know if you’ve tried any of these products and how they have worked for your hair!

I hate hate hate hate hateeeee when salons use the world's smallest comb to brush out the hair after they wash it.... I CAN PHYSICALLY FEEL THE HAIR BEING STRETCHED OUT, THEN SNAGGED ON A KNOT AND THEN SNAPPING / BREAKING OFF! THE ABSOLUTE WORST. 😭😭😭💔💔💔. Glad you hear your hair is back to normal. Here's to long and healthy hair by summer!

I found the holland and barret shampoo amd conditioner was great. I use the rose water one and omg it's devine! Smells amazing, easy to brush out, and it's supposed to be more natural without lots of silicones and sulphates (I've not re purchased in awhile because I've not had chance to get to the store so hopefully it's still the same when I get more!) but it's super gentle on hair and makes it so easy to brush and manage

Sometimes I feel like most hair stylists think very fine and thin hair is a myth, or have just never truly experienced it. Until of course they get their fingers in mine and say how it’s like a baby’s hair. (Um, thanks, most babies are born bald, and if not they STILL have more hairs than me...isn’t the point to help me leave feeling prettier rather than uglier?? Think about what you say people!) then they RIP the comb through it, snapping and popping precious strands all the way down, because like I said, fine thin hair is only a myth, all hair can handle rough treatment and the loss of 100 strands or so. So this becomes their personal Mythbusters moment, the only chance they’ll ever get to razor some wispy ratty layers in it, trying to prove something. Good job, you proved my hair is crap. I knew that when I called you. Sometimes I understand why Britney Spears shaved her head. “LAYERS?! In THIS hair?? Let me show you what layers do to my hair” BBZZZZZZZ.....

Last time I went to the hair dresser, the lady tried to tell me my hair was “thinning” and I was trying to tell her it’s been thin and fine my whole life and then she tried to sell me hair extensions. I felt pretty insecure after that. :(

Melbell ugh! How awful! I swear some stylists just want to make people feel worse, or they just throw their bad day out onto their clients! You’d think that a stylist would know the difference between fine hair and hair that is thinning! So sorry about that love! 💕

Hi Erin, thank you for sharing this story. As a long, fine haired girl I can totally relate to your experience at the hair salon. It has happened to me all too often and is incredibly frustrating. I look forward to trying the products you recommend and I love all of your fine hair tutorials. They give me great ideas of how to work with what I have. Thanks again and keep them coming please:)

Your hair looks beautiful now. And a good hair salon makes a difference. I found a good place about a year ago, after 5 years in the city. Now we are moving and I want to cry. As a fine hair girl with thin/medium hair, my cut is seems more important than any products than I could use. And she does a great job with color, to boot!

Thank you so much for this video. I've been in denial about my hair being damaged for a few months (handfuls of hair falling out and frizzes within hours). You look amazing in that sweater! Although I don't have fine or thin hair I still enjoy your videos! You're so right about brushing your hair from root to tip... So bad for you! Always start at the bottom and work your way up. The Costco shampoo and conditioner keeps my hair thick and shiny (the Kirkland line!) It's a dupe of the pureology haircare line. I've turned so many of my family and friends over and they've never looked back. ❤️

I have a very similar hair texture to you! I’m trying to get my hair healthy by not using any heat tools (which kills my hair!) it’s honestly a viscous cycle cause with fine thin hair people tell you to keep getting VOLUME but that requires heat tools- and then when you go cold turkey you feel like your hair is even thinner and worse not only because it’s flatter than when it’s styled and because of all the breakage and damage. I’m going to track my progress if my hair growth and I’ll probably post something on KZbin (I hope to see results)! I love following you on your hair journey ❤️ Good luck to both us haha 😂💕

Your hair is so pretty! You have more than I do! Wondering if you (or anyone on this thread) ever reverse conditions?? I've heard it's good for fine/thin hair, so thinking of trying it out because my hair gets very dry but weighed down so so easily. Or maybe skip that and just use a light leave in.

Loving your videos~ And OMG the cringe of a hairdresser brushing or combing thin hair out like that is a nightmare @.@ Same thing happened to me where they were trying to use a wet brush and I had to politely tell them no...please use a wide tooth comb and start at the bottom...and it makes a huge difference! And I product I recently started trying is the Oribe Gold Lust line, I TOTALLY recommend it! I know it'a a little bit raved about too much, but it is wonderful for thin hair as it's designed to repair. It's sulfate and cruelty free. A bit expensive but totally worth it for thin hair like ours! I'll have to try some of the products you are using as well!

I’m a guy with long hair and I’ve had long hair since about 2008. It’s been largely ok for the longest time but lately it’s just been a mess and I haven’t been happy. I’m basic as hell tho. Shampoo and conditioner and done. Oh and I haven’t had a cut or trim in 9 years lol. I’m sure a trim would help me tremendously but I’ve had bad experiences and that’s what led me to growing my hair out. Nervous to have another bad hair experience. Been watching hair videos to see what I can do outside of the basic washing to help and I realized my hair is so long compared to most of these girls. Im 6’3” and my hair is down to my belt. Hopefully I figure it out.

When you go natural it's normal that your hair are dry ect because all the bild up from "normal" cosmectic go out of your hair and you really see what your hair look like. It takes 1 to 2 months for natural cosmetic to show their benefit, it's called "transitioning" ;) But thanks for all your advice :D #lovefromswitzerland

I also switched to natural products and the first half of the year it was sooo dry and my scalp was dry af. But now I have really fuller hair. People even told me so :) A good tip for the transitioning is mixing the natural shampoo with water in a small bottle.

I have a question. I stumbled across your channel today. I have the same hair thickness, length, and highlights as you...which is nice to see how things look. But I workout, and I mean sweat dripping from my chin kind of workout. People always tell me to not wash my hair everyday, but how?!? Do you have any thoughts? My stylist, who I love, said, "Wash it and deal with the consequences." But she had a huge mane of hair so I don't think she quite understands. Any advice?

I don’t know the science behind dry or frizzy hair but whenever I take my hair out of a braid and brush it, it’s always really frizzy and I’m wondering if that means my hair is dry? It normally doesn’t feel or look dry and it’s only frizzy if I brush it straight out of a braid I’ve worn all day. Can anyone help?

I need to ask ANYONE who works in (or knows about) the business of hair... WHY do hair stylists/dressers try to use a fine-tooth comb on thin, fine & fragile hair? I really want to know how educated hair professionals think that this is ok. To break a person’s already very weak hair. This happens to me every time, so I have just started to offer to comb my own wet hair with a wide-tooth comb. Usually they don’t mind. Also, I have requested not to have a razor used for layers, but lo and behold, out pops the razor leaving me with feathery, wispy strands of more damaged-looking hair sticking out everywhere. 😒 Someone please help! WTF.... sorry.

I don't know what natural hair product you used. Sorry your hair was ruined. I also have fine hair plus salt and pepper so prone to breakage. I use Yarok Volume shampoo and conditioner which has coconut oil and my hair loves it. Been using for months and have very little fall out in the shower. I don't use any SLS or dimethicone in my hair products. I also use the hair dryer very little likewise with the straightener/curling iron. My hair dresser specializes in helping rebuild fine/damaged/broken hair to healthy volume. He says whatever I am doing is working.
