Cushion Wrap Silk Film Demonstration

Cushion Wrap Silk Film Center Fold 54″ is a noiseless plastic silk film that makes cushion foam easier to install into a fabric cushion cover. Wrap the silk film around the cushion foam and slip into the fabric cover. This cushion silk film is specially formulated to be silent under decorative or contract fabrics and also acts as a moisture barrier for outdoor cushions.
Use Silk Film, also known as EZ Film, with a vacuum to shrink the cushion foam by up to 70% before inserting into the fabric cover. This makes for even easier foam installation and ensures that the foam fills the cushion evenly (even into corners). Cover and tuck the film loosely around the foam. Insert a vacuum hose into an open end of the film directly onto the foam and turn on. The vacuum's suction will compress the silk film over the foam and shrink the foam. Turn off the vacuum and the foam will expand to original size.

Is it recommended on boat seat upholstery? I would be worried that if water does somehow get in it, it will not dry easily.

We like to wash our outdoor cushion covers at the end of the season, do you recommend using new film to reseal the foam/dakron every time we take out the cushion cover and put it back in, or is this something that will last through multiple inserting and removal of the cushion cover?

The silk film is very thin and fragile. I would replace it since it is likely to get damaged after removing and reinstalling the cover fabric.

Can this be used to stuff "dryfast" foam into a cushion cover and once inserted remove the silk film?

Yes, it can be used for Dryfast foam, but as you say it should be removed so the Dryfast foam can dry out appropriately.

The silk film can be used for a Polyurethane foam to help keep water from getting to the foam on a PWC. However PWC seat covers are typically stapled in place, so sucking the foam down cannot be performed.

I have 3 4" x 40" x 72" cushions to wrap in this manner. How much wrap should i need?
