Great video! Question about your spoked rims - I can see widespread rust on the spokes. What's the deal with that? Is that not a 3 year old motorcycle? My 15 year old bicycle has less rust than that and that spent years outside.
@connorkeith18814 жыл бұрын
Yep, not sure if it was a manufacturing flaw with the 2017 models or if it was because i was living a mile up the road from the ocean in San Francisco with no garage cover...hard to say. Luckily the warranty covered the replacement of those wheels.
@pas00034 жыл бұрын
@@connorkeith1881 great to hear that you got those replaced/etc under warranty! Ocean and salt would definitely have something to do with it, however I'm still really surprised. I actually went out and checked the spokes on by bicycle and there's 0 rust after 15 years of use and abuse (there is rust on some bolts/etc, however rims look like new)

Good video--very artistically done. I really like the way the tank badges look. Ok, to be honest I'm thinking of totally ripping off your ideas! Except for the blinkers that don't work for me with the "olde" style everything else. However, you indicated you were going with smaller fenders, so they will probably fit where you are headed style-wise. The flat black paint is sweet with the diamond pattern brown seat and matching grips. Good luck with your spokes--you ought to pay extra to get stainless spokes and whatever you call those little dealios you tighten them with. Out.

Hi Connor, thanks for this real non-commercial video. I really like to see more of this instead of commercial video. Can I ask you two questions. I cannot decide to buy a Triumph Street Scrambler or en Bonneville T100 Black, why did you purchase the T100? What parts from Baak did you buy for your next video?
@connorkeith18817 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for your comment! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it. As to which bike to buy...it really just depends upon your personal style. I wouldn't say that one is better than the other as they have the same engine, but "scramblers" from any bike manufacturer are generally better suited for both street AND off-road use. More than anything, though, the scrambler looks more aggressive while the Bonneville looks more classic (in my opinion). I've always wanted a Bonnie since I saw Steve McQueen riding away from the Germans in "The Great Escape," so that's why I chose it. I'd highly recommend going into your local dealer and sitting on both bikes or better yet test driving both of them to see which one feels better for your body size and riding position; either bike would be a great purchase. From Baak I purchased their mini front & mini rear-fenders :)

Nice vid man! You put some work in it and it shows! It's funny how we can be all excited about valve caps huh? Haha. I rode the T120 yesterday; lovely machine but the power was simply overkill for me; not so much because I'm daunted by it, but moreso because I could realistically never give the bike a nice workout and pull through some gears without risking my life and that of others. So I'm planning a T100 testdrive now to see if the 900 is a more usuable powersource for me. Even if that means loosing the heated grips and the fake carbs (which I love....both!) but perhaps even more important: the double disks upfront. Do you ever feel like you loose out on braking capacity? I just subbed to your channel and am curious to see more. One final point of constructive critique: although you've very complete in giving part numbers, I suggest just referring to them in the description of the vid instead of saying them. Cause nobody is going to write them down anyway and it makes the, otherwise great video, a bit boring. Cheers from Switzerland!
@Sebastian_PMA6 жыл бұрын
What did you decide for in the end? I rode a Street Twin before deciding on the T120 - best choice. Only problem now is I'd like a Husqavarna Nuda....and the new Scrambler...and a Harley, too...
@MrSjeupie4 жыл бұрын
@@Sebastian_PMA I wanted a t100 but couldn't find one in a 5h ride radius from my house, so eventually 'settled' for an almost new t120 with Remus exhausts. When I heard that rumble, I was sold lol I still find the t120 overpowered for my type of country lane/mountain road riding and rarely use 5th and 6th gear. Although the torque is great for 2-up riding. The nervous throttle and tall 1st gear are not great in slow city traffic. It also feels odd to shift to 1st gear in hairpins and I have to carefull getting back on the throttle. A booster plug made a big positive difference to that though. When my sprocket/chain needs replacing, I'll be fitting a larger rear sprocket to lower the speed a bit and increase rpm at low speeds. A 39t or possible 41t should do the trick.

Very cool bike! A lot of tasty mods, purely accorded with the style of this motorcycle. Just a couple of questions: do is it rust on the wheel rims? Do the headlight grid is the one of the Street Scrambler? I can't understand why the grid is not included on the configurator on the website for the t100. So, it's compatible, right?
@connorkeith18817 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! Glad you think so too ;) Yes, unfortunately I am dealing with very bad rusting on the wheel spokes and levers as I live about a mile away from the ocean. However, my one year warranty is still active so I'm trying to get Triumph to replace them as they got that bad (even with the bike covered) within the first couple of months...so I think it's a manufacturer defect. In regard to the headlight grill & bezel, yes...it is meant for the Street Scrambler and that's where you will find it on the website. However, it's obviously compatible so you can get it for the t100 too:)
