I bet he has a few possible sponsors in the background, he just needs his own place with a decent workshop. Cause I'm sure he'll be getting a CNC plaz table to help out cutting gussets, skid plates, floor pans, etc.

Hey Hey, Uncle Vic here. Dude, watching you build this fuel tank was awesome. I love how you pulled off simplifying all those seams. WHAT do you do for a day job ? BETTER YET, how many years of and what type of classes did you take to gain the level of skill you demonstrate ? I've watched many of your videos. It makes me sick to know that I will never be able to do what you do. Man, when I look at you, I see an Engineer, a Welder (Extraordinaire), a Mechanic, and a basic all around GENIUS !

Chevy, Chevy, you're the best. Drive a mile, walk the rest. In my high school metal shop more than 1/2 century ago, my instructor said to tighten all lathe pinions. There's enough slop in the scroll gear that some of the chuck jaws could be loose. Doesn't take much to be loose.

The perforated sheet looks good under the seat! Will look better when it's paint the same colour as the frame and the diamond plate is silver. The perforated sheet would be ideal round the engine area for protection and air flow.

@dontetenon8796
@dontetenon8796 3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for a long winded response .You can have a just as fast fill up if you have it around the seat or ware it is now, you would just have to get out and fill it that way. If the gas tank was around the seat you need more gasoline hose, and it could strain the gasoline pump.
@dontetenon8796
@dontetenon8796 3 жыл бұрын
Wow, these are good Ideas. If only I could weld. You guys make good points, as Eddie said the about the weight being on the rear axle it is so it dus not slide that much it give the driver enough traction so the driver doesn't not slide dus not have to be above the axle. I was saying about a reserve tank I don't know how much the fabriced one would hold and last while driving it, that is all.

Go around your local shops and ask if you can look their scrap bins. That is way i find most of my materials. Trying to find something specific usually gets you in and after that just look if there is anything else you might need. Even salvage some tools they have trown away, since usually its just easy fix and you get professional quality tools from that.

CYA on the underside of the buggy. Needs to be a one piece belly pan that wraps over the outside of the tubes including coming up behind the seats. Welded on u bends to guide it around tubes and keep it from shifting out of position. The lower sides need it also. Not inside the bars . Over the bars on the outside. You may keep eyes out for scrapped HDPE or Teflon sheets. Even scratched up as rock sliders. Much easier to clear a high center with a smooth bottom. If you ever come down on something or run over something a buggy in front of you kicked up. You may brush it off.
