went to my REAL job today, even though i wasnt working THERE....i got with my buddy Matt and we built this lid for the hole i cut the other day (for the battery box). all in the trunk, the whole trunk, bottom, back of the passenger seats, inside of the lid, the sides, just everywhere, now my rear license plate dosnt even shake, or my tail lights, its some really good stuff!

also to keep rocks from hitting them and so that nobody can look under your truck see batteries. It also wouldn't hurt to insulate the batteries that are outside of the cab so in the winter, they don't get so cold (if it gets cold in the winter where you are or may be going) and they wont knock together that way.

so instead of spot welding it and getting it done i should have stopped everything i was doing and had my company look into a norlock machine......hope THEY buy it, wait for it to get here, then use it a month later. All that instead of a few quality spot welds LOL. No thanks.

Steve, you guys should look into a Norlok machine instead of spotwelding. Cleaner look and stronger.

just a lil concern... The batteries are hangin under the car, so they are gonna be exposed to rain, snow ect. Are u gonna be wrappin shiit around them or somethin to protect them? I highly recommend that you do. Other than that, this is an incredible build. Keep the video's comin.

id have thought along the lines of some sort of shell around the open areas of the battery tray in case bits were flying up as he was driving along pottentially damaging the batteries but im sure he knows exactly what hes doing im sure he might have something in mind

Yeah Steve just use self tapping screws ,but it will help to pilot drill just a bit smaller and i guarantee u those babies will go in, sheet metal can be a pain in the ass ...

insulate them so they dont get so cold in the winter? theres nothing different about them being there with no shielding than being under that thin ass sheet metal hood. granted it would warn up after starting but still gonna see the low temps just the same sitting there. bein that there AGM batts the heat or cold dont effect them hardly at all.
