Is that small amount or f paint you mixed enough to paint the shoes with multiple coats or did you need to mix more paint? I’m worried about running out and not being able to match the original color. Thanks! Great video.

Hi, trying to turn my black leather doc martens an olive drab/ military green color. Do you think olive would do the trick since it’s going over black, or do I need to mix? Or maybe avocado is better? Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

After 2-3 coats, the Olive should cover nicely. No need for any type of mix or base layer.

good times! thanks you. and - hey - spot remover! i'm on that. (my project du jour is to re-paint 6 leather dining chairs. i had painted them for an event a year ago, using a dark teal i blended from a couple angelus paints and a little phthalo green pure pigment from my buddies at Benjamin Moore, mostly because i had the pigment on hand. the pigment wasn't ideal. great hue, but too transparent, and left the chairs just slightly sticky, with no time to add a matte finish. i'm repurposing them now for a mid century dining room, so a softened chartreuse is just the ticket. was hoping someone had already played with The Grinch! thanks for this, ) QUESTION: the dark teal is hard to cover. i tested 2 coats of Angelus Vanilla (nice green undertones in vanilla) and 2 coats of an Avocado blend, just checking coverage, and the 4 coats barely covered. any recommendations for a hi coverage base coat that still leaves the leather supple and crack resistant?

Hi there. I’ve been having an issue with the angelus acrylic matte finisher turning my artwork yellow. And it’s quite visible on areas where the colour is white. I thought maybe there was an issue with my finisher so I touched up the white areas w a new coat of paint and reapplied a brand new bottle of finisher and same thing happened. Could u advise what I could be doing wrong ??? Thanks

The reason for the heat gun is to fasten dry time. That will be up to you once you are in the process.

I tried using Angelus "matte" finisher on a dunk swoosh I blacked out and its not matte at all. I dont understand how all these tutorials by Angelus and others seem to indicate that it's going to give a factory finish when its actually very glossy.

angelus matte has some gloss. i would add a drop or 2 of duller to it OR go over it with krylon matte finish afterwards.

Sadly I cannot mix red and blue to create purple

That really depends on the red and blue you use, but you can essentially make a purple.

For sure! I can't make a vibrant purple like your "violet" hue, but I can make a dark muted purple color. I'll have to try mixing other colors in the future!@@AngelusBrand
