Great finishes, a lot of wasted space making it a one level home. No secondary den for the kids and office could have been a little wider. The finishes and the outdoor living really set this place apart, but you should have those additional spaces in 5k sq. ft.

at the front, before you step under the overhead, the transition between dark and light concrete, i can see sloppy work. the dark asphalt/color is splashed up on the light concrete. also, that is a small ass air conditioner unit for that large of a house. Is there two? You have an amazing kitchen with an amazing overhead vent hood yet you have electric stove? The stove set up is such an essential part of the kitchen. in a beautiful kitchen like that, at that size, that small of a stove and it being a electric stove sticks out like a sore thumb. Its such bummer.

Texas, like California, no basements. Luxury custom home and then they ruin it by using the same grey luxury vinyl plank throughout the entire main floor. Sorry, give me a basement, a second floor, nice stairways, and at least a little landscaping. A tornado would go through this flat plain, like a freight train.

@@xoangelicaf0523: can't or simply don't. Are you telling me that the Stata and Federal building codes in the US do not allow basements? That doesn't make sense. If you are building on bedrock, i.e. a summer cottage in the mountains, I can see a justification for no basement. If you are building on a flood plain with a high water table, I can see a justification, but this is Texas.

If I want a basement, I can have a basement as long as it's not where the water table is high or where the clay type is not suitable for deep foundations. This is probably why housing up north is always more expensive than in the south. I would still rather have a basement, thanks.
