I build tires for good&week tire company ;) and that is a carcass liner/ply splice showing in the side wall. It is not a failure point and shouldn't cause any problems with the tire.

its not a bubble, its a bulge and its common even in new tires, I have had this phenomenon with Goodyear and firestone and ran 30,000 miles plus with both. not an issue. gonna get my next set of 33's from treadright.

I have the guard dogs I air them down all the time. I got over 20 thousand on mine. I got about 2000 left of running. I've only had one problem a couple weeks ago with a knot coming up and shaking me about of the road. They were fast about replacing it no problem I. Like the tread you have better I been trying to get the 33s in that pattern but they are hard to get ahold of they sell out quickly

Cool machine you built.....im a bronco guy but dig your build. I bought a set of claws after I saw your vid on them. I've missed the old bfg mt for years and was so happy to see treadwright making a clone of them. The only thing I don't like about them is they are super heavy.....as bad or worse than nittos as far as weight.

In this post that I'm looking at, I see that you don't have any link bars set up on the rear. If you are still running this way, I'll share what I did to stop rear leaf spring wrap and sway on my J10. I ran a top link above the fron reart leaf spring, designed the hangers to mount the link 4 inches above the spring shackle, then went to the front of the rear spring and came up to make the link parallel with the spring leaf welded the hangers. Used ¾" left-hand and right-hand thread him-joins, so I could adjust for freedom of movement. I called this one my Mexican four Link.

open ended? like not full floaters
@roncook8566
@roncook8566 6 жыл бұрын
James Flores the differentials being open have nothing to do with whether they're full floating or not. A full floating axle simply refers to the weight of the vehicle being carried by the axle housing instead of the axle shaft. Doesn't have anything to do with the differential. A full floater can still have an open differential

Do you need a safety inspection in Oregon? Will you have to cover the width of the tread like up here in New Hampshire? Sweet build all around
@bleepinjeep
@bleepinjeep 7 жыл бұрын
Jimmy T No safety inspections however you aren't aloud to have more than 2" of tread sticking out past the flare or body. It's loosely enforced, but I could be ticked for it. I'll add flares and new fenders asap.
@pbsalfen
@pbsalfen 7 жыл бұрын
Tim, I think Oregon is full width fender and mudflap. But if the bumper is less than 27" above the roadbed you down need mudflaps. "Fenders and mud guards (mud flaps) must cover the entire tread width of the tire. (ORS 815.180)"

That front axle has selectable hubs on it, so welding it has basically no downside. Thusly, your stating that in those six days of build, you had time to chase an oil leak, but not twenty minutes to get at least the front locked? That's a bigger disappointment than the super hacked front fenders on an otherwise high-end build.
@bleepinjeep
@bleepinjeep 7 жыл бұрын
Dan Sanford I didn't want to weld it. Planning on a selectable locker for the front and detroit in the rear.
@dansanford8430
@dansanford8430 7 жыл бұрын
BleepinJeep ok, but every selectable I know of is a full carrier, so why not have to it locked until the upgrade? If it was just a driver, sure not worth the bother, but since it went on a bucketlist level trip, that's a lot of capability to leave behind for almost no gain.
@bleepinjeep
@bleepinjeep 7 жыл бұрын
Dan Sanford There are some major downsides when it comes to steering, especially in the snow. Thankfully out of all the trails we ended up doing there was only one spot where a front locker definitely would have helped, however I was able to winch up that obstacle anchoring to Matt's Scorpion Crawler. - Tim
@dansanford8430
@dansanford8430 7 жыл бұрын
BleepinJeep yeah, it'll roughly double your turning radius when the hubs are locked, on a surface with decent traction. Which isn't a worry when one is wheeling, and won't come up on road. And in the interest of clarifying tone in writing, I'm just bench racing here. Your jeep, your call yada yada.

Joey Sciammas Yes, 4.10's and No, not yet. still has 3" leafs in the rear. It only slopes rearward a little, I think that's because the RuffStuff Ubolt Eliminater Kit's leaf perches are a little taller than stock so they provide some extra lift. I plan on fabricating a shackle relocation kit which will give me anothet 1 or 2 inches of lift in the rear.
