Beautiful ❤️ bass and great choice of materials used. It is refreshing to see more and more people flocking to 32-in scale basses. I bought my first brand new base in 1981, an Aria Pro II TSB-400 which has a 32-inch scale and I've been playing it ever since. I noticed lately a lot of KZbinrs praising the 32 inch neck scale. There are only now figuring out something that I've known for over 40 years and that is how perfect a 32 inch scale bass is for both playability and sound quality. I'm going to be reaching out to see what you charge for a custom 32 inch bass. Keep up the great work! 🤗

Thank you very much! 32” is definitely my favourite scale length too. I’m not convinced any great thought went into settling on 34” in the first place. But going against anything traditional (like a 34” scale length) is always hard going in the guitar/bass world and people take ages to accept anything different! Glad they finally seem to be doing so. Would be happy to chat about a build and thanks for watching 😃.

I think a lot of gibson basses are medium-ish scale. It does make a nice sound. The p bass's punchy + low end with the high end feel built in, the scale, and the bolt on are a great combo. The fretwork looks great too

Thank you. Yes the Gibson explorers were available in 32” scale I believe…and the EBs etc were 30.5”. Quite a few Japanese makes did 32” also. It’s my favourite scale length for 4 strings! Thanks for watching

The whole idea, the 32" scale length, the mahogany body, the mahogany neck, the indian rosewood fingerboard and the PB design... simply just perfect! Due to the shorter-than-the-normal scale length, the sound is more "masculiner" what the Labella flatwounds just extended more. The Lollypop tuners are also providing a fine additional character to the whole vibe. The bridge choice is perfect, so as the six screws BO design. I like the carbon fiber enforcement in the neck. Maybe the pickguard is not my taste, I prefer the shiny black pickguard with white bending. But not my taste is the point here. So this bass is a trully great bass, a real bass-machine :)

Thank you! Yes, the customer made some great choices to give it that vintage look and sound whilst still being different from a typical P bass.

Thank you, that is my bass!I'm very excited to get it in my life. For anyone who hasn't dealt with Robin at Manton Customs,he is incredible. He always took time to talk to me,my emails were responded to as soon as he saw them, just a super nice guy! And,as you can see,he builds top shelf instruments. Even though I haven't received the bass yet,I know it's going to be butter. I've had a hard time finding the neck I want, but he made it happen. .90 depth 57 bass soft v profile and 40mm nut.The big plus...18th century 1/4sawn Cuban Mahogany!I could go on and on about how great Robin is to work with,he will build my next bass.Oh,the price,I would have spent the same or more on an assembly line instrument, but know I have a hand carved work of art.Check out Manton Customs!!!
