I've been working on rings using your previous method and now I have to try it this way. Love how it turns out. How were you able to take the first shank off? Wow, good job.

Thank you! You can remove anything from your project by just reheating! I held the wire end in my 3rd hand & remelted the solder until the whole frame came off! Then I just kept reheating the excess solder to allow the droplets to gently drop onto my mat & even wiping the excess off the tip! And Yes you can absolutely reuse that excess solder! If you’re not going to redo that particular piece just use your Exacto knife to gently peel & lift the copper tape off. You can then clean up the adhesive with nail polish remover or acetone! Most stones can handle the cleanup. I hope this helps!
