Custom Peterbilt has a bad day and needs a tow!

One of @jessebounds6795 trucks hit the gearbox for a center pivot irrigation system after it fell out of the back of the pickup in front of him while going down the road and suffered some pretty extensive damage. I took my new truck over to Christmas Valley to pick it up out of a farmers yard where it was left and towed it back the Bounds shop in Junction City. It was a four hour trip over the Cascade Mountains and a 5,000’ pass, so a great test of the truck and I couldn’t have been happier with how it performed. I have some more attachments and accessories on the way to make it an even more versatile tow truck while making my job easier at the same time.

I worked for a truck stop and later a dealer as a semi diesel tech for years and idk how many times I've seen wreckers just use the seat belt to wrap the wheel and buckle let the air our the seat and let it roll! I have alot more confidence in you strap technique!

Turbos don’t spin when wind blows in the stacks. That is a myth and there is no need to cover them. If it did, everybody in the Midwest states would have to cover the stacks of all their trucks and equipment every time they shut them off…

Never heard of this before. My first thought is there is nowhere for the air to go. It's like blowing into a capped hose. If the exhaust valves are open, then the intake valves are closed.

We've never covered any exhaust and run 85 across TX custom harvesting and we put alot of hrs a year on our machines never lost a turbo yet we've lost them on trucks that are running from the start of the day till quitting time but never anything we haul from job to job same with construction equipment

@7:42 Casey: It is tradition to honk your horn in that tunnel. I remember my dad doing it in the 1950's and I've done it many times crossing the cascades from the valley to central Oregon. Soon the Intermodal center will be open in Albany Oregon so farmers can take containers there, load them on Train cars and then they will be Railroaded to the ports in Portland, Tacoma and Seattle. It will save many hours of driving and waiting to get unloaded at the ports (Been there done that, yech}.

Those Pete's are just some beautiful trucks ,I am partial to the color I had a 76 squarely short bed that was lowered 3" in the front and 2 in the rear and had the roof chopped 3" so seeing these orange Pete's takes me right back to being 23 an cracking the pipes in that old chevy
