They need to produce thousands of these figures and so in order to meet the deadline and get a profit, they simplify production (that's why the Godzilla plates are red and not pink, so pink is more expensive), while one person can spend at least a week painting one figure.

dropped a sub it's amazing how much difference a paint job for playamates does, another great example is the mecha godzilla figure they have its insane how minimal effort they put. Like I get it this is marketed for literal toddlers but damn.
