I like that you can use the same sample multiple times and change the start and stop points to play different parts of each sample.

I have returned to your channel to try to learn more. I'm good with this app but it has so much more potential than I have reached and while I have other DAW's I really like, I learned more on Caustic for sequencing and automation in the last 7 or 8 years than I did in 20+ on every other popular DAW out there. In fact, I'm an outsider already because I prefer Magix Music Maker over pro tools, abelton etc. and I'm a metal and instrumentalist guitarist lol. *I want to reach a mastery level with this app because it will simplify and bypass 10 tons of fuckin work in traditional PC DAW's to achieve the same sounds and results.*

Intro + loop is useful if you manipulate loop start and end to create a sample that can sustain Like a plucked strings introduction then looped at a point that will simulate the string continuing to ring out

To my understanding intro loop forward will play the intro and what ever you start and end point you choose so it will go back to the start of that start point you chose. Loop fwd and back will play the sample intro and the same start end point but forwards and backwards. If you get really good at messing with this you can make one shot sounds play endlessly very smoothly. I do this with 808s so I can do slides or long holds. I mean I do it with whatever sound I can but sometimes the volume difference makes it harder to do it with certain sounds. It needs to be a steady sample for the best results

Quick question how long can your sample be? I recorded a sample through the standalone editor, but when i try to add to pcm synth the whole sample doest play its cuts off and its suppose to be longer than what pcm is allowing to play.

Samples can be tricky. You can record up to 300 seconds in the WAV Editor but Usually u have to chop your samples up in 8 bar segments cause the PCM synth wont play longer than 8 bars. There is a way around this which you can learn here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ioW7cqyuqbCHa6M I recommend using the chopping technique of 8 bar samples that the video will go over at around the 4:00 mark.

Nice video as usual mate. I've given it a like. But.... This is a fairly torturous way to load samples, especially for disorganised people such as I. I read somewhere that it's possible to load a zip file containing samples into the PCM synth. I can't figure out how to do this though because upon navigating to the zip file, my LOAD button remains "greyed out". Do you know how to do it?

How to delete a sample pack that is overlapping another sample pack both on the same PCM synth??

You gotta explain a little better. How are they overlapping? Are they playing at the same time? Do you have both of the sample notes triggered at the same time in the sequencer?

@@tcb9775 If you have a sample pack that is in the PCM synth that you want deleted, (this is for android) go to "My Files" in your phone and locate the Caustic folder (I had to go to "my files" then select "internal storage" and that's where I found my caustic folder, yours might be different) then click the Caustic folder, then click the presets folder. Then click PCM SYNTH, and locate the sample pack within the PCM Synth and long press it and it will give you the option to delete it. If your using windows, find your caustic folder and click on documents>presets>PCM SYNTH then right click the one you want to delete.
