Great mirror!!! Just wish there was a turn signal indicator facing rear. For traffic behind you. I have noticed that this helps a lot in traffic when a vehicle is beyond your tail lite indicator, yet can see your mirror signal.

Very cool! Unfortunately Ram like all manufacturers have priced most consumers out of the market and now to add the absurd interest rates have really done in. I love my 17' Ram 1500 but this would have been the year for an upgrade and I just can't do it..

Nice! RAM is just now catching up with FORD and the BEST tow mirrors ever!! I believe FORD has had them (power, telescoping, folding) since 2012. Lol Way to go RAM!!

@@treeamigo8447 stats show that the 6.7 Powerstroke and the newest Cummins have about the same reliability. Plus, overall, the FORD is more reliable in other categories. RAM is getting better, but still behind FORD.

I will stick with the mirrors on my 2021 3500. I have mine adjusted to see both sides of my trailer and the additional lanes on the the driver side and the white lines and the emergency stopping lane on the passenger side.

Thank God! Even if you don’t tow, the tow mirrors offer better visibility. It’s not just Ram either, Fords mirrors are horrible in the half ton. Towing or not your better off with the towing mirrors.

Hopefully the visibility/blind spots are improved. The old mirrors had terrible visibility when folded down, mostly the passenger side. I own a 2013 Ram 1500 that already had the tow mirrors, and we replaced them with the normal 1500 ones because of the blind spots

@@hellkitty1014 I was thinking that lower edge was overlapping the sheet metal of the door a bit more then the old/ current flip up mirrors, it may not matter , the real tricky part might be getting the controls to match up or fit into the older door panel on the inside of the truck.

Im a ram guy but same rusting cab since 09, dated 6 speed transmission, dated mds technology on big gas v8- 2010 was 12 years ago, ford and gm took big steps ahead, typical ram- new stickers and tacky black trim and they got a 'new' truck

I own a 2017 ram 2500 big horn, long bed diesel. I’ve put almost 90,000 miles on it. I’ve owned several other Rams, most bought new, since 2001. I’m just wrapping up a work related trip (~3,000 miles) that required I rent a truck. I ended up getting a new 2022 F250 xlt shortbed powerstroke. I did about 2/3 of my trip towing a cargo trailer & the rest with just tools in the bed. Acceleration was outstanding with or without the trailer & definitely better than my Ram with its manual trans. The only real complaint I’d have with the ford is the exhaust brake felt nonexistent. There may have been a slight difference, but nothing close to my Ram. What I did find interesting is the 5 year newer ford rides very similar to my Ram, handles almost as good as my Ram and while tech has obviously changed in that time, the interior surfaces, knobs, buttons switches just look & feel more refined in my Ram. The ford interior does feel big, even compared to my ram, but I can’t say the materials feel more or less durable or comfortable than the other. The non power seat in the ford isn’t the easiest to find a comfortable driving position for long trips, but my ram has a power driver seat & I’ve had several years to get it where I like it. Basically, I’ve had decent luck with Ram trucks over the years, but if the price is right (and they could get get it built before releasing the next model year) I might buy a Ford.

I live in MN and have never plugged 21 Silverado 3.0 in. A diesel mechanic told me in the 80's don't spoil it. If it gets used to being plugged in then when you go somewhere and can't plug it in, it probably won't start.

They are so large that they create a blind spot when entering traffic from a side road. Had an accident with two weeks of getting the truck. I hate the bubus mirrors.

Coming from a F150 to a Ram 2500 the tow mirrors are one of my many complaints. Good to see they finally made something comparable to what Ford/ GM have been doing for a while now. Still think I should have gotten the F250 I was looking at buying.

Correct. It will show in the main screen. We tried to show it on camera and due to our low speeds and no trailer attached, I wasn't able to show it.

Hey I’m ordering a 2023 Ram 2500 tradesman . It appears the door mirrors new ones are on their own no package. I want all black heated power turn / running signals proximity lights but not power fold. Don’t like chrome capping.

I wonder if anyone has tried to put them on an older truck. Looks like they will bolt right on to my 2016 3500. Add a couple switches for the new feathers and you can save $95k vs buying a new truck.

The more important question is why the obsolete body and cab are still being used instead of the much nicer 1500 style? How do you compete with the GM and Ford HD trucks when you have the best engine but don't have a transmission that will come close to handling the power of a real high output version of that engine? Why don't you have an 8 foot bed option combined with the new style best in class 1500 cab with a real high output Cummins engine producing power and torque numbers superior to the competition and sell that truck in 2500, 3500 and up grades?

I’m a Ford guy if I have the choice, just my personal preference. I’ve owned Fords since 2000 and all trucks have had trailer tow mirrors the the regular mirror up top and convex mirror below including the two F-150 trucks my wife has owned. They are very user friendly compared to any mirror in any other vehicle I’ve ever driven. I had a 17’ RAM 2500 Cummins through work when they briefly switched brands and could not for the life of me get used to using those mirrors when they were folded in so I drove that truck everywhere with them flipped out granted I towed most of the time. I think this may be the case for most people who own those trucks? Unless you drive a dually they look out of place sticking way out there for no reason in my opinion. Same with extending the Ford mirrors without a trailer or wide service body to look “cool”. To each their own!

Ill probably just put the normal mirrors on this truck if I ever buy it or get one from gmc/ford mirrors. Ram is copying the other competitors and I think ford/ gmc does these mirrors better. I do have to say the ram dually midnight edition looks good with those mirrors so I think it depends what ram truck they are on

@@chrisjohnston7608 the HD Rebel isn’t a full redesign. It is just using existing parts to make an alternative HD version. The Cummins just doesn’t fit in the PW. It does in the Rebel. Different equipment on the Rebel, or rather lack of, makes it work.

They could have modified the PW to make a new version that fits the cummins without alternating the entire line up because in fact they did just that and CALLED it a Rebel. The Rebel HD is based off of the PW, your telling me ALL the engineers at Ram couldn't figure out how to modify the PW to make it fit the cummins and still call it the PW of course they could have.

Those mirrors are the main reason I didnt buy one back on 2017. And we have 2500s for work trucks and the interior room is terrible! No leg room in the front of back, and if you have a passenger in the front and back then neither have any room. The F250 has tons more leg room. The Ram is really quiet though and does have a little better ride. I ended up with a Titan XD as I dont need the full capabilities of a 3/4 ton but I do tow on the heavier side, amd since the XD weighs over 7,000lbs by itself it tows with alot more confidence and stability than a half ton but rides better than any 3/4 ton. And unlike the V8 diesels from Ford and GM, the Cummins V8 is so easy to service and work on. Tons of room in front for te9lac8ng belts, alternator etc, and behind you can actually reach back and touch the transmission bell housing. Valve covers amd injectors are unobstructed and in plain sight, as are the fiel lines and fuem rails. I didn't even consider a Nissan until I saw under the h9od of one amd saw just how much space and how easy that engine is to work on. And the seats are hands down the most comfortable of any truck ive driven. They don't have thw fancy bolstering like other high trim trucks but they have no pressure points and I don't get stiff at all, even driv8ng 8hrs towing a trailer. Its definitely an under rated truck.

they forgot a water fountain and a soap dispenser in them mirrors. Looks over complicated and expensive. How much to replace one if you get clipped, I bet few thousand with all them little sensors, cameras and motor servos. Probably needs calibration as well at the dealer. Do they fold back?

Yeah they fold flat along the sides of the truck and can be programmed to do so when you turn the truck off.
