Customizing Live - Painting Resident Evil 3 Carlos Head

In hindsight I think drybrushing skin tone on is a bit of a gamble, I've done it in the past with some really smooth results but this one turned out a bit lumpier than expected. It's mainly in macroshots it's really noticable as it looks smooth in real life but it's something to be aware of.

Carlos turned out great, as for your discontent the only thing i can observe is thay because of the hair sculpting over the left side of his face and eye, its not symetrical, which is something you usually look for when painting eyes, I did a Leon sculpt and his eye was covered much in the same way. I also got the feeling of "I messed up somehow" with it. So perhaps its that? Eyes are also hard to position properly with that type of hair sculpt too. Excellent video as always! Any plans for a body build for him? Or further RE characters? I know you've pretty much got the whole main cast at this point.

Honestly, I was curious how this head would look painted up so thanks for this! I really enjoyed how Carlos was handled in REmake 3, so I might give this a shot for a Carlos custom.

I think it turned out absolutely awesome, I'm not sure why you aren't quite satisfied with it. The only possible gripe I can find is the way the mustache connects to his beard on the right side, it doesn't really bend around his smirk.

I don't really know, it's just not really clicking with me. I think the amount of realism I want isn't conveyed in the paint job. As for the moustache bend, I did actually have that in consideration when I painted it, the smirk said is a bit higher with a harsher edge but maybe it wasn't done well enough for an outside look. Thanks for the comment though, much appreciated!
