After mowing my lawn today, I had to stop and admire how good it’s looking. I started my St. Augustine renovation in January after taking it over from the HOA landscapers. It’s been a lot of work and some frustration along the way, but I’m getting close to dominating the neighborhood and I’m getting compliments. Feels good!

Angled blade is a mulching blade. Flat one is a regular blade.

I've used the Nike Monarchs for almost 15 years as my primary mowing shoes. Same pair! I've used about two rolls of duct tape to keep them together though.

Love the glass cleaner but I realized the best way to get streak free glass is use a water damp cloth to rub on the window. Then use a dry microfiber towel to wipe off the dampness. This works especially well on car windows. You’ll never have to worry about ruining your tinted windows from ammonia products.

Been enjoying the upgrade from a 22" Toro Recycler push mower to the 42" John Deere Z345R zero turn. Enjoy the mow so much more and often double cut because I mow too fast now! The quality of the cut is amazing. It definitely has to do with horsepower and the speed of the blade. I suspect that is why you are seeing the quality of the cut improve. Raw power baby.

As far as shoes goes I typically retire my dailies and make them my work around the house, and I like the Merrill mocs, as for the blade on the mower the shape has been around for years and was always touted as being the blade to mulch with. Heck I have an old early 70s snapper with a 3.5 horse Honda motor, before the blade mount on the shaft decided to finally give I used this style blade on there for years. And when I finally get the collar off and replaced I will use the combo again.

Hey LCN! That is a mulching blade. After the lower section of the blade cuts the grass the top section mulches it!

Use Stoner's Invisible Glass on my windows, cleaned with a 100% cotton bar mop towel. Switched a few years back, after I was tired of continually dealing with "film" issues from Windex. No film issues whatsoever with Invisible Glass. Had looked on an auto forum to see what people recommended for windows, and Invisible Glass seemed to get the most "thumbs up" from folks. And agree with you- don't skimp on the application to get the windows clean

Nothing beats a bucket of warm water/vinegar/few drops of Dawn and a window scrubber and short high quality squeegee for a quick perfect streak free window. But Sprayway is by far the best window cleaning spray.

Your honda's primary blade is shaped like that. As far as the hydratain... I did the same thing years ago. I still have the bottle and marked off 8oz and 16oz and fill it depending on the area. I also use it sometimes to spray our the next products and occasionally a blanket application of week control.

I’m a Honda guy too! Nothing Mulch is like a Honda commercial mower. Just bought a gallon of Hydratain and it went down on the yard today. My lawn shoe is steel toed slip on from my timberland pro. Comfortable and safe. If I go electric for mowing I will probably go with Makita. I love there gear and the support I get from my factory service center is stellar. I use the same grinder and impact as our teacher.

I always enjoy my ceremonial end of mowing season setting my mowing shoes out to sea, which is really just throwing them into the garbage can. And, while we're being transparent - surely I'm not the only one that uses last year's work-out/walking/running shoe as this year's mowing shoe? At 61, 1/2, it still works for me.

The Ego Blade Design is very similar to Husqvarnas' commercial mulching mower (LB553se) and similar to SCAGS SFC30 mower blade design and they also perform better than any mower I own or have used previously :) Great Video Format too Al.

Recommendation for window cleaning: when you do the final wipe, on the inside go north spur and outside east west. If you do have streaks you’ll see which side it’s on.

The bend is aerodynamics to circulate the grass around multiple time, not allowing the grass clippings to get cut once then settle together. It mulches the crass clippings. It's a mulching blade design

Too funny I have both types of shoes! The new soles of the New Balance 608's are a bit too soft but the Nike Air Monarchs are perfect. My 11 year old Craftsman has a blade with a larger sharpened area.

I use old safety shoes from work, no possibility of losing any toes. Back in the day, used to use old spiked golf shoes on a hilly yard. I'd use them now if i could get them, never any slippage!

Allyn Tomorrow is Thursday I am putting granular JG weed & Feed(I know don't say it....w&f). Rain is coming first half of day and I will put down in the afternoon.(Wet Lawn) High of 61 to 65. Friday will be 80 but the weekend will be record highs of high 90's but humid. Possible Sunday showers. Says after applying to wet lawn should stay down 48hours then water in which falls to SUnday. You think it is safe to do with those temps. Apply day is 60's next day is 80....then high temps. I was also thinking Of Laying Coop Poop on top of it........Thoughts?????????

The curved blade has to do with aero and fluid dynamics to keep blades of grass lifted instead of of pushed down by the (propeller) blade

For shoes it has to be the X ULTRA 3 GORE-TEX because when you got a lawn with so many hills and random dips as mine anything that does not have good grip and support is asking for trouble. I have slipped in other shoes too many times and almost twisted my ankle or fell down a hill with the mower no way I am going in the yard without something that has good grip and support.

Those are high lift mulching blades. First is curved leading cutting edge. Mulching. The big turned up back edge provides lift, to help pull the grass up as it's whacked off. Also contributes to the mulching effect I believe.

Yes it is. No way to really know, especially since the hopper is behind you. It's really best for something like ice melt or rock salt.
