I think Mr. Foxglove is a great commander to implement Keruga, the Macrosage as a companion. Using this build as a baseline, you wouldn't really need to change much to make it work.

I've played this list a few times in the past week and it's been a blast! Do you have any particular cards you'd include and what you might consider cutting if you weren't trying to meet a budget? Would love to upgrade this to keep things fresh, but I'm worried I'll mess up the ratios of the subthemes.

You can use the better shadowmoor filters in this list since it comes with the precon they are better because they can filter 2 of the same color and add mana by themselves. I also don't recommend removing the archetype of endure for making a slot for avacyn as they shine much better with each other.

Pretty cool idea, I will probably swap out Hin-Gitaxias Core Auger for Progress Tyrant, a little less oppressive, and can protect against boardwipes and counter spells.

Glad you enjoyed it and yeah, he is quite a powerful commander - quite possible the most powerful commander in a 4 precons including the faces due to how much raw value he can generate when built around properly!

Love this build. I've wanted to give it a shot, but I felt it was clunky until I saw your build. It's helped me see a great way to go with it. I am curious if there is a reason why wasn't Monster Manual included in the build? It could be an effortless way to cheat creatures in, especially helps when Mr. Foxglove is removed or unavailable because you want to swing him for card draw. I'm also looking forward to the precon upgrades for Duskmourn. I would love it if you did Valgavoth first! Thanks again for the inspiration!

Chulane, Teller of Tales is not quite as good in this build as he could be, since his passive cares about us casting creatures (which we won't be doing a lot of since Mr. Foxglove puts them into play instead of having us cast them), though his activated ability can be used to bounce our creatures back to hand to be cheated out again by Mr. Foxglove (though I think we have better options that blink instead for that in the build already that are either cheaper or repeatable). Hope that helps explain my reasoning!
