Angela Harrison I’m blind and I’m laughing my ass off Jokingly saying “oh so you see my point” (or a joke of similar nature) doesn’t actually offend us I mean annoy some people while heard the joke often, yes But most blind people I know actauly make those jokes themselves I know I do! As for the mugging thing, yah I get that fear, it’s happens way too often and sadly I’m sure the “not If but when” applies there too That isn’t funny But the joke he made and the joke he thought you were making is so please try to relax some

A4Pablo most use text to voice. I, however, have a small amount of vision so I just bump the text size all the way up and squint Unfortunately it’s hard to read the KZbin comment section because that’s one of the things that doesn’t enlarge with the rest of the text, but I manage Thanks for asking

I appreciate that the guy with the glasses is actually real about his experience. So many people say "Being deaf isn't a disability" or "being blind isn't a disability!" and try to normalize it--he said it very well "it's challenging, an inconvenience. I wouldn't wish it upon anyone."
@jackcolson4745

The reason he speaks the truth is because he said he used to be able to see. and that's important because you can't give a fair judgement on something If you've only experienced one side. He's had experience with seeing and not seeing.

My grandmother was blind and deaf. She was born deaf and she had an illness that made her blind. It was very bad experience for her and a fear. Most people can’t handle it and harm themself/end their life. But she made it trough. She is one of the strongest people I know! And she had so many talents, even she was totally blind and deaf! ❤️🕊

Helen Keller is a lie. No one really knows her exact story and there is no way she learned to read. She was 19 Months old when she went blind and 1 Year olds don't know the alphabet. She could only smell, taste and touch there is no possible way to learn the alphabet when you can't hear or see it is impossible. When she never understood letters how could she ever know what things are by touching them? That's right she didn't ever learn to write or read. She was used as propaganda so people thought better of disabled people.

Still it often is enough to be able to watch movies in specific setups, especially when they have audio description. I recently had to escort a visually impaired folks a few times through a casino I work security as, and I can tell you the best thing you can do is treat them normal, use your voice to describe things and visualize things for them. I loved exposing the environment to them, the smells and the noises are great triggers and landmarks for them so I described the visual part to help them orientate and they loved that. Any body with a disability just wants to be treated like the rest of us! Just be warm and welcoming and I can tell you they will help you more than you can ever help them. I was never so happy, and felt so fuzzy and warm inside than helping people in need ❤️. Wouldn’t trade it for all the money in the world.
