Ummmmm, that’s pretty easy to explain. All Andy had to do was tape only the top of the poster to the wall. That way all he had to do was lift up the bottom to get through the hole and the poster would fall back down into place, by itself, behind him once in the hole……seesh !!

Did you ever roll tape into tubes to put up something without having to see the tape? If your behind it you can use a pencil to "roll/push the tube flat from the inside. That's how one would go about doing it.

O’Brian really went buck wild with the station modifications. Going from partial warp in first episodes to full warp.

Everyone fixated on the Rachel Welsh poster. But no one talking about how DS9 only had 3 pylons on each side, not 4. Or that the station couldn't go to warp. Or most importantly, that they had a ship with a cloaking device that would have been much better suited for peeping, which had sensors that could have peeped from orbit, undetected without even using the cloak.

The velocity the stone was going was enough to punch through the thin paper surface without disturbing the poster. Once the hole was made, the warden could then quickly punch a larger hole through the poster and rip it off the wall. Totally believable.

Toothpaste, when dried, can act almost like cement when applied to two surfaces and would be more than adequate to hold the poster to the wall. Andy climbs into the escape tunnel, produces a tube of toothpaste from his pocket, applies a generous amount of toothpaste to the bottom of the poster along the middle of the bottom of the powered. He can then reach around from the outside on each corner and press the middle down to the wall in order to make it stick. It would dry hard enough to hold the poster in place when the small stone is thrown, with force, through the poster. If you want to poke holes in some screwball story, look up the contradictions in evolution.
