I agree so much with this comment! I’ve been looking forward to this game, but quickly became disheartened when I saw all of the purely negative reviews of the game. This usually helps, but it almost made me feel bad for still wanting to buy and play it. Thank you for your kindness and objectivity with this review, it means a lot! 🥰

In defense of who your talking about, Josh is one of the most knowledgeable people in the cozy community and he wasn't just critical of the game. He didn't just say oh I hate it ect he broke it down very well from every aspect and the majority of the community agree with him and the others who are speaking out about the lazy gameplay cycle of critter Cafe and some other half baked cozy games.

I enjoy it! It’s so fun for me! It’s nice having a game where I can sit back and relax not worrying about a challenge. I’m sure the devs will add more content in the future! ^^

I 100% agree with what you said! I would also like to add, it would be nice to actually see the customers walking in and out of your cafe. It felt kind of bland just seeing them disappear and stuff. I also think that more interaction with the customers and npcs would be really nice! I want to get to know the customers more. What personalities do they have?, likes and dislikes?, family history? etc and it just had none of that which I do understand however I think adding it would be nice. I also just felt like it would be nice to be able to accidentally spill food on the floor/customers and have to clean it up as a little risk factor. Also the customers having real life human reactions like getting sick, having to go to the bathroom and just overall being a human would’ve been nice. I think this game is very adorable and I love the concept of the critters and the dungeons but I just want more ig!

Game seems really cute but not sure I wanna play it for that price and that amount of content. I agree that the critter care stuff should have been more interactive rather than basically cut scenes you choose between.

I love how the character and the game in general look. Though it does feel a little too bare. I wish we could talk to people, make friends and maybe have our own home to decorate and the like. But I can say I’ve been enjoying it so far. I’m playing on the switch and it plays great! As for the price, it really should have been £11.99 max. It is very much a mobile game, which I don’t hate, I just expected a little more. Fingers crossed they’ll maybe add a home for us to live in and make the npc characters actually interactable.

I love the concept and art style of this game💖 It seems like a great mindless game to play while listening to an Audiobook 😊 I hope they have an update where they add more content or even have events 🤷🏼‍♀️

I played the demo and felt like it reminded me of a mobile game, but in a good way. I liked that there wasn’t a whole lot to do because sometimes I just want to play a “mindless” type of game to ease the stress without the micro transactions of mobile games.

Yes!! I do agree with this; we do not always need super indepth complex games. Sometimes the coziest games to me are those that I can just play for hours and not have to think lots.

So many negative reviews of this gane yet i still bought it. I wasn't buying it for the hype either, just liked it aesthetically and wanted a Cafe game to try.. Everyone is biased even when they break the games down. ❤

Ive been playing since day it came out..i read reviews about how bad it is, dont buy... however i love it. Im up to 13 critters, love decorating, puzzles are mind challenging, stressless game. Yes i wish for a couple changes, but im having fun. I play stardew having 5 farms, fields of mistria, critter cove where time is of essence. This game i can just chill 😊

I dont have game yet but did see so many harsh reviews when it dropped. Some of the negatives people had didn’t seem much of an issue to me. I think i will like this game but at a price drop maybe 15 or less hopefully much less.

Played the demo and the actual cafe gameplay was rough. It was a cute game otherwise. It does need some tweaking but it can become a chill game.
