You can actually build this without having to mock it up somewhere else. Physics to the rescue! Your bike is a projectile once it leaves the launch ramp, which means the horizontal velocity is constant and equal to whatever speed you leave the ramp at. You can translate your hoz velocity from your 30 degree ramp. Your vertical velocity is determined by gravity. Your bike is going to slow down vertically once you leave the ramp and then half way across, it will start to fall back down as gravity accelerates it down. The variable that ties the vertical and horizontal together is time. You can calculate how fast you need to hit the ramp to make it across. If the gap was 6m across, your brain never would have let you send it. If you worked it out on paper before, then you would know that you could make it. Great video by the way!

Just started getting into mountain biking, I came across your videos and have been sucked in ever since, I love how you figure out everything and build it yourself. Love the shirts and would like to win one! :)

Hi mate … to fix the landing you should dig past the wood matching the angle and keep it down hill for a bit, you should then build the berm and put a steep hill at the end.. I will be absolutely stoked if you do this man.
@cutlaps6 ай бұрын
Hey Brandon! Yeah I think thats pretty much what I will be doing. Probably make the landing a bit higher off the ground as well. Which should make it longer.

You have a lot of confidence doing something like that, I wish I could be like you some day. Also, you might not remember but I said I would copy your “free kicker jump out of a pallet” and I did, it’s so much fun!
@cutlaps6 ай бұрын
Awesome that you built the pallet kicker. Glad you are having fun. Keep practicing and you will slowly build up confidence as well. I'f you look at my earlier videos there is no way I would have jumped this even a year ago.

Cool video about how difficult it is to build a proper jump. Congrats for building AND sending this one, I would NEVER do it, without paracticing another 10 years...🙂

Thanks mate! Keep practicing and you will be able to send jumps this big.

hey bro, I have been watching some of your videos recently and found out you are an absolute legend. for example In one of your previous videos you made a jump out of pallets, I got really inspired by that video and i am making currently as well. but to think, for that video you put so much time and effort into designing preparing and building this pallet jump and put in onto a 15 page slide just for us to complete the jump in like a day or two. you are an absolute legend and from your videos I will have heaps of knowledge going forward in my life as I am only 11. keep up the Amazing content.😝😝

was the puzzle The gap wasn't really a creek it was just a ditch?🤣🤣
@cutlaps6 ай бұрын
Dam dude what an epic comment! Yeah I try to give back and inspire the community as much as possible. I have a new video soon that is similar to the pallet kicker video. It should help people build the perfect jump. Haha the ditch does fill with water when we get heavy rain 🤣🤣

Such quality content! Really exciting seeing all these features bring your trail system to life. I'd love to say that I'd hit that creek gap no problem but everything always looks smaller and easier on camera than in person so I'd probably chicken out! Ha
@cutlaps6 ай бұрын
I had about 3 weeks to just look at it and slowly build my confidence enough to hit it. Needs a little work to get it to flow better and when it does it should be epic and less scary
