How to do Cummins valve set

Quick video on a valve set. I am doing it on a 12v in the video out there the same process on a 24v

how do you find tdc on a 24 valve 5.9

I attempted to do a adjustment on 5.9 2007 Cummins. At TDC all the valves where tight ( no lash) . Spun the engine 360 and still no lash . So I was unable to do anything. Because of unsure which TDC I was on. any suggestions on finding TDC on number one.

Thanks for the video. I noticed the rocker arms have some side to side play on them. I have seen videos on valve lash, but i dont see the same side to side on the arms. I think I may have to replace them???

You should have some side to side play.

Hello friend really nice video. I have a doutb and sorry if it sounds dumb but the timing pin only hits the right spot tdc number 1? ir it can also it tdc number 2. Because you say this :when you turn 360 from tdc number one that make its tdc 6 as you have to go around twice to make the it the that same spot of tdc number 1.

you pin the engine at tdc and do the half the valves , the turn the engine over 360 to do the other half , if you go twice so the pin lines up you will be in the smae spot you started

A good suggestion would be to set timing before you install your injectors.

Hey whats up i just put 4000rpm govenor springs,60lb valve springs,and delivery valves in my 1995 12 valve should should i turn fuel up and also boost and timing thanks Kris

I would add some timing. You do t have to add more fuel if you don’t want. But if you don’t have a egt gauge I would get one of those

I’m confused I though that when #1 was at tdc the #6 was also plz help with this thanks you had said and I’m probably mistaken but u said to turn engine 260 degrees
