This is good info. I received a very large cutting a couple months ago that proceeded to rot. I saved it in perlite, cut it in two and the most advanced plant has a robust root system and 6 active grow points sprouting on a 3 leaf cutting😱 6! So now I’m not as excited about it having so many leaves sporting at once. I’ll watch it with your advice in mind.

Very informative video. I am a bit confused though on exactly why this is a bad thing? Forgive me but could you explain? I have some monsteras I am trying to encourage to be bushier but with staking the plants and pruning for propagation reasons, it seems that they would only become this way by close nodes such as seen here.

Well if your thumbs in the way, cut off your thumb. That's how it works right? If growths get in the way or slowing down the plant you just cut them off. Yeah I disagree I would rather accept the Slowdown of growth or maybe try bumping up the food and light to get it to grow again.
