Honestly I think the reason professional hairstylists can never properly do scene mullets is bc they just can't replicate the amount of chaos that goes into cutting it yourself with kitchen scissors and a dull razor.

@@prnces_boy460 ikr!! this is why i actually did it without any tutorial, just found a lot of reference pics on pinterest and this is it. u can actually follow this or any other tutorial that u like to cut ur fringe and then continue cutting via reference pics. a lil piece of advice from me - don’t thin ur hair out too much on the back and on the sides, cut the fringe first, imo it’s better to do this cut when ur hair is slightly wet or dry because otherwise u can easily mess it up by cutting it too short accidentally xp anyways have fun with it!!! this hairstyle is so unique and iconic don’t be afraid to try out something new and good luck xx

Don’t do it, please go to a professional. I tried this last year and it terribly and In the end it looked like I had a bowl cut. Now I have my head shaved so please.. don’t do it. These people are acting like hair grows back fast, IT DOESNT!

The secret is extensions haha, most of the big scene icon girls from back in the day the majority of the length was extensions, it was crazy seeing some of them when extensions weren't in just scene fringe in a like shoulder length cut. Growing hair that long is really hard and takes years, theres a lot of affordable yet good quality extensions nowadays tho!

Best tip I can give you is to sit with your haid upside down from the side of ur bed n massage ur scalp! Obviously not for too long because all the blood will go to ur head but doing it everyday of so makes the hair grow faster

BTW I'VE NEVER cut my own hair, but the razor made it so much more comfortable in a way since i wasn't just chopping away with scissors . I easily got through a lot of hair and i made my side bang a little more wispy (lighter) not too heavy around my forehead area and its super SUPER cute ! anyone who is willing to try this just have FUN with it, take your time and make sure your sections are even XD

I found this channel last week and I love it so much! I'm a newbie emo/scene (kinda still searching but more of an emo) and I have a trouble explaining to anyone what I'm trying to do. I'm not really allowed to cut my hair myself because reasons (I'm a minor) and idk how to explain this to an elderly hairdresser but I'll figure something out. Meanwhile, thanks!

screaming. i remember cutting my hair like this in the bathroom back in 2009. NEVER again. that shit left my hair so fucking scraggly and unhealthy looking. however; it definitely is apart of the scene experience lmaooo

this is the best emo hair tutorial i've been able to find and imma use this one for my own hair:) i actually had emo hair but after going to the hairdresser for the third time they somehow managed to fuck up my hair. i had straight bangs and not the layers xd even tho it was the same person who managed to cut my hair perfectly two times before haha.

Found your thrifting videos and was hoping you would have a hair tutorial... and you do! Tried this once back in 8th grade, wasn't great. Gonna start over again now that my hair is extremely long! This tutorial is awesome
