thanks for sharing. do some research, find out what types of stones are in your area and where to find them. you'll get better at picking up the gems and ignoring the leavorites.

I know quite well the rocks that are in my area. I just like cutting open random rocks to see what's inside 😁

It looks quite a bit shinier on the camera than it does in person. It's not gold, but it is very shiny 😁

@@adventures-with-joe works good on most rocks? And a follow up question, they use diamond grinding blade for shaping gems?

@@myalterego2878 yeah it cuts through pretty much everything. It's just a regular diamond grit blade you can get at any big box store. If you're gonna be cutting my hand just make sure you don't buy a blade with the spaces. Continuous blades won't cut you

@@myalterego2878 I think they mostly use flat laps for shaping gems. A saw blade wouldn't be precise enough

@@adventures-with-joe I was thinking, I've got a disc grinder I can put in a vice but it might take a lot of buffing to get the scratches out
