I received my bees from you today!! I’m a first time bee keeper. I had no problems installing them with no suit, gloves, or even a veil. I did have safety glasses. No spraying or smoking. I did not get stung, only two stung my shirt.. There were very few dead on the bottom! I’m so glad I got my bees from you. Thanks for all the videos too. 👍🏻👍🏻

Got the second package in This morning for my parents hive. Got them installed with no gear on at all (first time bee keeper). and my mom stood right next to me with no gear either....zero stings she is super excited and ready for more hives....you have some awesome bees, my first hive after a week, has 4 frames drawn and capped brood. Thanks again.

Great work. I have been keeping Bees for decades and have never seen two queens that have just hatched and fighting before. I have had a Queens making a high pitched noise from inside the cell which was pretty awesome on a few occasions. I believe that is a first on youtube! thanks for sharing this amazing video! They all look in great health...

Excellent educational video. If you do mot have a nuc available, is there a queen cage that can be placed over top of the cell in the original hive which would permit her to hatch in place? Then later, say up to 4-5 days, be better prepared to move her to a nuc of her own?

can you tell when you look at a queen that she is a virgin quuen/ how do you know both of those fighting are virgin queens. or is it because the older queen would already have left?

Hi David, I have a question I hope you can answer. I have two new 10 frame hives airing out about a week now while waiting for my 2 NUCS. I didn't add 5 frames yet but should I put 5 frames in each to air out as well? They are wood frames w/ plastic foundation and some are double waxed. Do frames need to air out? Also does spraying sugar water on the frames help or its not needed with a NUC install?

In the video u have 2 virgin queens, & about a dozen queen cells, some cut out, & they're all about to hatch. The queens r all virgins. How do u get the queens to become mated & fertile?? U don't explain how the queens become fertile. U explained the process of splitting cells, which is awesome.

I installed one of your 3 # packages into a ten frame hive on 3/30. I'm a newbie in North Texas. Today I checked them and found 3 frames of honey and pollen and 4 frames of capped brood with some capped drone cells and 1 queen cell. The queen cell is not yet capped but I can see a white larve in it. After seeing this video I'm going to move the queen frame to a new box and hope for the best. I was unable to see the queen today. If I split them and my original queen is dead can I combine them back together? Thank you for all the great videos and fantastic bees.

Quick question David or anyone who knows. Can worker bees move eggs from one cell to another? For example from a worker cell to a queen cup? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Alan (Scotland)

Yes, in some cases; if the queen is isolated, bees can carry an egg to a queen cell

this is by far the smartest thing a Bee keeper would do you always wanna separate the two queens, cause if they start to fight, ' the the workers will join in and kill one of em and no bee keeper want that cause that's a lost profit right there

@@danskisbees7348 I think (at to moment) not so difficult. Though there are rumors to make sure there won't come anymore. They are very afraid of diseases which they might bring in. But. I have spoken to someone who can send a queen. Not much. € 40,= for a mated and 15 for a newby And recently, today, I have visitors !!! So I'm happy already. Perhaps in the next days a swarm coming in. But don't know how long it takes for the explorers to prepare the hive. There are fixed brood and honeyframes in it, so I cross my fingers. Today it is only the third warmer than 15 degrees Celsius here. And already visitors. I think I can better put up a second hive or Nuke. ;)
