Great video! Its always interesting to get outsiders view of CVNP. Outstanding video. We live just south of CVNP. It's a great place to go on weekends to hike, kayak, & bike. A few suggestions if you are ever going through there again. 1.) Blue Hen falls is a beautiful waterfall and hike. I personally think its one of the prettiest falls in the park. 2.) Gorge Metro Park in Cuyahoga Falls is about 20 minutes south of CVNP and is also a beautiful hike. 3.) Penninsula is a great little town right in the heart of CVNP and has a wonderful park gift shop and the scenic train station is also there. 4.) Bonus: Hocking Hills State Park and Old Mans Cave on southern Ohio is an absolutely beautiful park and well worth the visit. I've been all around the U.S. and have visited and backpacked some wonderful places, but Hocking Hills is really a special place. Anyways, thanks so much for the wonderful video!

This park looks amazing! Love the history of it too. The story of how the marsh was returned to being a marsh is incredible! Adding this park to my list :)

What a beautiful AND fun national park! Ya know, we’ve been many places around the world, but haven’t yet visited all that the U.S. has to offer! We’ve GOT to get our rear ends in gear, and GO!….before we get really too old! Many, many thanks for always taking me along on your travels! You two are the best!, Love Ya, Virginia

My fiance and I visited this park the day after a huge storm in August and it felt like EVERY road was closed- so we had to drive the interstates to get anywhere. It’s very true about what they said regarding driving through communities. We, also, had the same reaction to the Ledges Overlook!!

Such a unique park to visit, right? Can't imagine layering on top a storm like that, with Cuyahoga Valley being such a fragmented park at times. During our visit, there was a significant detour for road construction, but I wonder if it was actually a result of storm damage? Thanks for watching, and hope you'll continue on the journey with us! 👍🏻 - Howard

I live in Akron and I get to go thru the Cuyahoga Valley a couple of times a week. You can ride the Towpath trail from my neighborhood all the way up to the NP and beyond. The Park is very bike friendly with Mountain biking and the Towpath for exercise, leaf peeping and families. On a hot day its at least 5 degrees cooler in the valley. Beautiful for motorcycle rides too ❤

We were just there a couple weeks ago. Such a neat place. Brandywine Falls and the Ledges Trail were definitely my favorite parts, but we also took the train ride and my boys would say that was the best part.

Brandywine Falls is definitely a must-see! Glad you had a good time, and great mention about the train. We couldn't make it work for our schedule, but the pics we've seen from the train look fantastic! 👍🏻 - Howard

I grew up in Bedford and so much of what you showed had been my “playground” when I was a kid; climbing and swinging through the trees, running through Tinkers Creek, collecting and releasing all kinds of insects, tadpoles, toads, and salamanders. The metro park was my literal backyard. Thank you for bringing back those memories.

Karla, it’s such a cool park! I love the Towpath Trail, too. We walked several portions of it (including to the marsh). Which portion did you bike? Also, have you seen/heard that you can bring your bike on the train to do a roundtrip (train one way, bike back)? 👍🏻 - Howard

@@NewstateNomads Yes. We rode the scenic train as well and saw bikers on there. We rode from the visitor center to the discovery center and back and then went the other direction. We rode about 30 miles. We loved it.

It was surprising how many bats were there, that man’s phone catching the sounds was amazing. I’ve never been afraid of bats. We need need to protect them. They are vital to our ecosystem. Thank you for this wonderful and interesting video. Big hugs to all the puppies ❤️🇨🇦

Two ‘bridal veil falls’ off the top of my head. Keystone canyon near Valdez, AK and Spearfish canyon in Spearfish, SD. I love how informative your videos are and gives us ideas of what to do in the area. Our goal is to take our EKKO to as many national parks as we possibly can! P.S. Thanks for chatting with us in Forest City. I was thrilled to meet you two and the pups 💕🐶💕

Thank you for a video but you're going to have to revise some statements Especially the camping part in the Cuyahoga valley which you used to be able to do I have had people who was on the board of election for that that knew about it but did not know the changes after just a few years ago when homemade wanderlust or Dixie on the trail went through the Cuyahoga valley in remembrance of Grandma gatewood now after that video no one is allowed to camp inside the park when it was always available unless of course you are on the buckeye trail which is extremely limited even to that now

Dixie’s Grandma Gatewood hike was in Hocking Hills - 3 hours south. The NPS website lists several close camping options and there are a few sites on Hipcamp.
