I live fairly close to id HQ. If I had known they were located there in 94 I would’ve hitchhiked there just to hang out in the parking lot. I try not to get all fanboyish about anything but Doom is my crucible. Also, big ups on the review. Well done.

This video is so awesome! I love long form content like this, and all the editing and jokes were a great pleasure to listen to! I'd love to see another video on Doom 2 and perhaps even Final Doom! On another note, I recommend giving the port Nugget Doom a try for a sort of Crispy Doom+ experience

The clone thing is a hold over from arcades and arcade emulation. Many many MANY arcade games of the atari era were cheap ripoffs, pacman clones, donky kong clones, qbert clones, etc. Its much faster to say Mr DO! is a digdug clone with a ball instead of an airpump and apples instead of rocks

This was an amazing and funny overview! ❤😂🎉 The thing I love the most about Doom is that all the monsters are like chess pieces, that each serve a role to make your life miserable. Granted this wasn’t fully achieved until Doom II, but Doom 1 still holds a special place in my heart.
