My build from 2.0 was still pretty OP even on very hard, so I got in the habit of not completely abusing my cyberware to kill everybody in the room in seconds. I was so used to this mentality with Smasher that he actually managed to kill me right after the game updated (i was already replaying the final mission when it did)😭

@@ventrion8223 I dont remember all the specifics but i was running Edgerunner with the Apogee Sandy, Cockatrice Kiroshis, Axolotl, and invisibility. The entire build all together had a crit chance at around 70%, crit damage at around 60%, and Melee Damage up by 60-70%. Just having those on alone before 2.1 made every fight extremely trivial, so I usually never activated my sandy or I would only use it very sparingly, the same with other cyberware.

Even using a katana build you still have to be careful when hitting him. As powerful as the katana build is, you still need to get within melee range of smasher. Good luck dodging his one shot combos. I prefer the katana/blades build just because it's fun l, but I just fought smasher last night and it took me a few attempts to get him.

i have video where i show what he is, but my skills 10 times smaller and i just jump the circle sending him synapse burn. And he died. Actually i didnt know that 15 reaction gives air-run, i did it with mouse4+space press, so always miss the moment :D btw, he still has a OP vulnerable - once i send him "grenade explosion" he lost 50% hp at the moment. But once.

Thank You! I tried so hard to make this fight feel cinematic. I recorded this fight probably close to a hundred times and never truly got the "feel" i wanted. Sometimes Smasher did something Derpy or i just goofed up and did something stupid. So glad I recorded this one :D

@Garland846 The quick melee change CDPR made for the Malorian in 2.0 was pretty stupid. Also given the lore implications of the 3516, it should be a powerful hand cannon. Plus it's arguably one of the coolest guns in 2077 and fictional pistols in general. It deserves to be powerful.

The build used in this video: The V in this video is essentially maxed out at 5x 20. Tho you can still achieve the build technically. Assuming you also have Phantom Liberty installed. 20 Technical Ability 20 Cool 20 Reflexes 18 Body 3 Intelligence Arm cyberware is up to personal preference, but i went with the MaxTac Mantis Blades. Other Arm cyberware that might work with this build: Projectile Launch System & Gorilla Arms. Most perks are up to personal preference. Tho here's a build i would use that is similar to the build in this video. Played the new updated version of the boss fight about 50 times now, it still was easy on the first try. When he was doing his sandevistan thing, I could still slow him down using mine. I feel like they fucked up on the dilation of the sandys because his should be on par/better than the apogee. A better step up from the original fight, but far from the actual/real smasher from the tabletop and the legends.

Agreed. Smasher's Sandy should definitely be faster. Something akin to EoN Smasher. His attacks are cool, but a faster Sandy would make this fight golden.

Play it on very hard at first I played it on hard but when I switched to very hard I noticed how every now and then smasher was able to use his sandevistan and move even faster than me he was always approaching me or even able to be on top of structures where I didn't notice obviously smasher can't be better than v canonically but as for his sandevistan he is better on the very hard difficulty.

Perhaps the most canonical fight, which is most suitable for what a fight with Adam would be like. Although it is a pity that the developers did not make this battle more ambitious, where as the battle progressed, the entire location would turn into solid ruins, and Adam would be strong enough, so that even for those who pumped to the maximum, they would have to spend all the ammo by the end of the battle and really convey the feeling that V spent all his strength on it, which ones he still has left.

Fighting Enemies of Night City Smasher is pretty accurate to a canonical fight. It's a lot more intense than the current fight, Smasher has tons of health and really strong resistances to most types of damage. Hoping to make a video about it soon-ish.

i remembered early in the game i was doing alot of the harder sidequests that you shouldnt do without the proper cyberware and id be getting one shot by some valentino gonk but then you reach a level to the point where you finally deck yourself out with the gear and are literally just slicing through everyone. then you fight smasher and its like holy shit he is tough but the prior level i was at wouldnt have even lasted me 2 seconds without getting evaporated by that giant monolith of metal

The enemy health/player damage level dependence is kinda weird. Enemies of Night City Smasher is a whole other beast. Even with some mods that give advantages and even two operating systems, he is still a menace. Recommend giving ENC a try if you're on PC. Or check out my ENC Smasher video

@VexxtheVoid my recommendation - overclock and spam synapse burnout, heal when needed, and to keep the Smasher Counterhack bar from filling all the way use a Katana with the cyclone mod. You'll be swinging on him so fast it'll never go up.

I played him on very hard and he glitched out, he stood floating sometime and then crashed, I was making good progress. Then I got my ass handed to me several times, that rocket attack and gatling attack hit like a truck, I was mowed down. Then I cheesed him with the ba xing Chong or whatever its name is. The boss fight is now an actual boss fight. I love it.
