Awesome! Finally another great video from you guys, I was worried that you might have stopped making videos, because I really enjoyed following you along your adventures. The wildlife in Costa Rica looks amazing. I am just not sure about all that traffic in Panama. That just didn’t look like fun at all. Looking forward to seeing more of your travels again.

Hey there Randal! Thank you for following along and for the wonderful comment. We do travel pretty well together, but it can be tough sometimes when you're together 24x7. Our only separation is when we're cycling and there are hills. One of us goes up faster than the other! ;-) Fingers crossed you and your wife can get back in the bikes and traveling down the road soon. Until then, take care and happy cycling. ~Ron & Petra

You two are absolutely inspiring. I'll be sure to catch all your videos. A youtuber by the name of Iohan (yo-han) got me into bikepacking. In fact, I took a plane out and rode the Katy Trail in Missouri. Really happy to see your wife is riding! She's tough. I have a hard time talking mine into a few mile pedal from home.

Hello Les and Rob! Thank you for checking out our latest video. Actually, the Bridge of the Americas turned out not to be too stressful, since we ended up having police on a motorbike follow us. The worst bridge we've ever crossed was the Astoria bridge connecting Washington and Oregon! We've cycled in some crazy places over the years, but that 4 1/2 mile Astoria bridge was stressful! We learned later from some other cycle tourers that there is a small ferry just up the river that we could have taken. Cheers to you and happy cycling! ~Ron & Petra

What are you using for navigation, maps, cyclo comp, and route planning?
@PedalPowerTouring8 ай бұрын
Hello Abba and thank you for the question. As a back up device we always travel with a Garmin e-Trex series GPS loaded with the maps of our location. Now with the invention of Smart Phones, we have been using more mapping apps such as Maps.me, Komoot, offline Google Maps, MapOut (iPhone only), and while not related to maps, we do like iOverlander for scouting out locations to camp, get water, border crossing information, and other stuff related to traveling. We may have missed something but if you go back to some of our newest videos and look under the "Description" we have added some useful information. Also, we rely heavily on getting information from the locals. Take care and happy cycling! ~Ron & Petra

What's up with the "NO Cyclist" signs? Are there alternatives to busy highways? YUCK! Please tell me there are. Looking for travels to and thru Costa Rica and central America. Thanks.
@PedalPowerTouring8 ай бұрын
hey Stephen! No idea why those signs were there because there is no other way and shortly afterwards there is a bike path, then the bike disappears again. Traffic in Costa Rica wasn't really that bad. In the towns it would pick up some, but overall it was nice. Now in Panama!! After Santiago forget it, the traffic was steady and annoying until we crossed the Bridge of Americas. if you have any questions about Costa Rica shoot us an email and we'll try to help you. Until then happy cycling and all the best as you cycle Central America. ~Ron & Petra
