You guys rock. 1 more year and I am going to sell the shop and my touring company and I am going to ride for myself . Where I get to that day is where I will be. When I get to a crossroad , I will go the direction that has the wind to my back .

Hello David!! Thank you for following along. Yes Baja has its own vibe and it's different than mainland Mexico. While we enjoyed our time on Baja, we really fell in love with mainland Mexico. Despite the horror stories you hear from the media, Mexico is truly amazing (the food, the people, the culture, etc...) and we plan on returning to explore more of it. Cheers Amigo! ~Ron & Petra

Thanks again for sharing your adventure. It continues to give me faith in the goodness of most. Very nice of them to allow you to set up inside and out of the wind. But I will say sometimes at the end of a long day riding, hotdogs and a coke will fill the spot. Not so much for Petra though. Hope the tummy problems didn’t last long. Enjoy and travel safe…Teds Trek.

Hey there Ted and thank you for checking in with us. Happy to share and hopefully inspire others to get out there and see the world. One thing we've learned from all of our bike travels is, people are genuinely good all around the world. The kindness of strangers is truly amazing. HAHA yeah normally we wouldn't eat hotdogs, but yes they were pretty darn good at the end of the day. Petra survived and is German tuff! ;-) Take care and happy cycling! ~Ron & Petra

Hello Stephen. Trail angels are the absolute best! Memo there at the Cow Patty is a character and it was a pleasure to meet him. Full of knowledge about cycling through Mexico. Although he says his full on touring days are over because of his knees, he still gets out and cycles about. Cheers from Mexico! ~Ron & Petra

Cool! You stayed at Cow Patty! Those hotdogs were great!
@PedalPowerTouring3 жыл бұрын
Hey there Erik! Yeah for sure the hotdogs were pretty darn tasty for sure. I had 3 myself while Petra ate 2. I really think it was the onions that messed Petra up and not the hotdogs. Memo is a character too. Did you stay the night or did you continue down to Puertecitos? ~Ron

One thing that really stood out to me is how well you managed to capture the gradient as you went up and down hill. Would love to know your secret!

Hello Joe and appreciate you following along. Yeah no idea other than we do try and keep the horizon level. I haven't really thought about it, but I'll try and think about it moving forward and let you know. I promise we'll keep no secrets from anyone. :-) We're using two GoPros, an 8 and older 5, so nothing special. Cheers from Mexico. ~Ron & Petra

@@PedalPowerTouring for what it’s worth, I think the problem with most videos is that the cameras may be mounted to the handle bars so they are always pointing up or down the hill rather than level. I just don’t know how to fix that other than perhaps helmet mount??? Or maybe gimbal mount???
@PedalPowerTouring3 жыл бұрын
@@BIGTREESJOE yeah I try and keep my level, whether I am handholding it or it's mounted on my handlebar. However it doesn't always work on some of the steeper ups/downs. :-)

Looks like your bikes are a bit more loaded up? (Harder to ride?!) Sorry Petra is not feeling well! I guess you have to watch out for hotdogs and Coke in Mexico 😬Cool place to spend the night. God Speed you two!
@PedalPowerTouring3 жыл бұрын
Hello BJB Quilts and thank you for following along. No we are still carrying about the same amount of gear we started out with way back in Alaska. Not sure if Petra got a bad hotdog or it was the onions. I ate 3 of them to her 2, but she added onions and I didn't. Cowpatty was very cool to sleep at and we were very happy with the offer from Memo. Thanks again and happy adventures to you! ~Ron & Petra
