Enjoy every minute and don’t worry about external distractions or influences via social media. Family and daughter time is precious and there will always be time for cycling in the future

Happens to us all. I didn’t give up racing initially, but slowly found I wasn’t training enough because I would fall in the standings every race. That was more depressing than just quitting at my peak. Took several years off before cycling for fun again. Now my kids are in their teens and I’m getting back in it.

Congrats man! I have two toddlers, I wouldn’t go back to a time before them in my life not even for a world full of the nicest bikes just for me! It takes lots of adjustment and compromises to fit a new baby in your daily life. For the first 6 months will be very difficult to ride even a peloton for the lack of sleep you will be under. Once the baby figures out his own schedule then you start figuring out your new one! That happened to me, twice!😮

Yeah, those cuddles are the best! Remember, kids think parents who race are really cool. Maintain the fitness; I was an elite triathlete but now I'm fat and fifty, my daughter races and I'll never be able to get fast enough to keep up with her again. It's worth keeping up being amazing people yourselves, you and Rocket are her primary role models ❤️

Congratulations! I support you very much and wish you good health. My wife and I follow your adventures and you are very similar to us. Or We come to you. Never mind. He also trains quite a lot and manages to combine it with being a dad, husband and full-time employee. It's not easy, but once you sort it all out, you'll see how much joy comes from being a dad, helping your wife and fighting for a better tomorrow. Training gives you rest. It's physically tiring and gives you mental energy. You will see how much time you wasted and how much time you will gain. I wish you, Rocket and your princess good health, you will work out the rest yourself ;-)
