The Dutch team didn't have team radios in 2012 and 2016 and one of them won a gold medal in both games. Why couldn't they win gold in 2021?

Over the last, flat 7kms Mara Abbott averaged 43kph riding solo, without drafting (difficult to estimate the prevailing wind direction and speed). But they caught her with 180 metres remaining.

The 3 had conserved their energy, they did not break away each other and could have done wheeled sucking more of the time, so that the 3 have had therefore more gas and power to sprint in the last final minutes and heart breaking to Mara she was almost there, she had tried her best to reach the final minutes of the finish line, but, perhaps, she had no more power to sustain it, maybe of her pedalling alone and would have been consumed her energy to finished line, until the 3 has passed after her and came to finished line respectivly.

Abbott could've won. She had the power but used poor tactics in the end. Could've preserved some energy by drafting! She was looking for a knockout lol. None the less 4th isn't too bad considering US never really cared that much about cycling.

Of the commentators-curious: Anyone know the male commentator? I didn't catch if he ever identified himself. Sounds South African. The female is Rochelle Gilmore. They did well given their limited information versus a World Tour race TV production.
