Your videos on the engine rebuild are super helpful! Definitely couldn’t have done it myself without them. When you torqued you’re studs, did you follow the arp directions? It said to torque then down to 75, and then back them off and retorque them back to 75 again. But I’m thinking now that may have had a negative effect on the gasket
@tbr.performance2 жыл бұрын
No… I should have followed the directions. I was misinformed at the time so if you torqued the studs to 90 foot lbs, I’d replace them if the head ever comes off again. I reused mine using the same torque spec I used in this video after the head I bought cracked. The new head lifted… so I followed the instructions on the 625+ studs I got. I did a video on all that.

@@tbr.performance yeah I have been watching some of them. Pretty cool. I’m having a 1000whp ecoboost mustang being built as we speak, sleeved ST block, with the best internals you can possibly get, same with the 4 port head. Being built by Adam at tune plus. Not sure if you heard of him but he knows everything about this platform. His website is pretty helpful for info to. So after everything how much you pushing now in your focus?
@tbr.performance2 жыл бұрын
@@Paper.Power.Politics Not too sure actually. I haven’t had the car on a dyno since I last had it apart. I can guess anywhere between 420-430 whp. The car isn’t meant for big power so I wanted it to just drive good on track so that’s why I focused more on the power engagement instead of pure power. It’s pretty light so not much is needed.
@Paper.Power.Politics2 жыл бұрын
@@tbr.performance yeah I know what u mean. My build will be capable of 1000whp but not gonna run that ever lol. I just wanted a bulletproof build or try too. Probably push 700whp at the Most. Right now i have a stock 2.3 with full bolt ons. And bigger turbo. I’m at 400whp I love it I beat GTs all day. But I definitely want more. I live like 5min away from willow springs. But I kinda want a drag set up on this. Who does your tuning? I’m telling you , you should hit up Adam at tune plus! Tune plus gaps anyone on this ecoboost platform!
@tbr.performance2 жыл бұрын
@@Paper.Power.Politics I’ll definitely look into it! I’m tuned by PD Tuning. The cam tuning has been challenging but I plan on getting tuned on a dyno in the near future to solve some of my drivability issues because of the cams and the head work I have done.

Only one side of the washer in an ARP head stud kit get lubed. The block side is be dry. The nut side gets lube. Best is to lube the one face of the nut. This is so the washer doesn't spin on tightening. Later head stud kits have dimpled washers.
@tbr.performance3 жыл бұрын
Correct. At the time of filming this video I had been misinformed about both the torque and the lube applied.

Hello Bro. My name is Jorge and I am from the city of Mérida. I have a Focus ST 2017 which I had to rebuild the engine. Yesterday we finished assembling the engine it did not want to light. Apparently the injectors do not receive signal but the coils do produce good spark. My mechanic says that it may be a problem with the computer but the scan was already done and it did not mark an error and he could enter to make a diagnosis without any problem. A mechanical friend told me that there is a possibility that the camshafts and the crankshaft are not in time. Could you help me with some diagram to put on time? Is there a connection between the camshafts and the fuel pump? if there is the possibility of time error do not send signal to the injectors?
@tbr.performance5 жыл бұрын
Jorge Bustillos Well the high pressure fuel pump is driven by the exhaust cam but I don’t see how that would cause a fueling issue if it was out of time.
@jorgebustillos93685 жыл бұрын
@@tbr.performance It was just a doubt, we thought that it had to be on time like the camshaft. no signal reaches the injectors. but if we have a signal in the coils.

Enigma Tombo Well considering it will be running with forged internals and proper ring gap for high boost, it’ll make a huge difference with reliability.
