Not many people know that Cyndi had vocal polyps removed in the 2010s, diagnosed with an auto immune disorder soon after and recently one of her vocal cords collapsed after a virus. She’s also having obvious sound problems here, pointing to her inner ears to someone off stage. In top of that the woman is 71! When you pit all that together, instead of focusing on the imperfections, can we highlight the sustained belts she managed to achieve inspite of everything???

I could only take a few seconds of it. I'm guessing the mix was *very* off and she can't hear the music properly. I've loved this song for decades. She always starts very low. But she's totally out of sync with the music here. I blame the sound system.

The reason she is off with her timing constantly is that her ear piece is having problems. She cannot hear the music in her ear so she hears it from the outside speakers so the space is big and the sound comes back with a delay. If you notice in the whole performance, she realises it at some point and goes back to sing with the band, and hear from their own monitors speakers and suddenly she is pefectly on beat. And you can see she keeps signaling people to fix her sound. Yes she looks a bit tired but thats also maybe cause she is trying to figure out what is going wrong the whole time. If you put her on time, like she was supposed to hear herself and sing, she is one kick-ass 71 year old!!!❤
