I remember the World Premiere of We Are The World. I was 10. It was such an AMAZING time for music. I was a HUGE fan of the song. As soon as the documentary dropped on Netflix; I was watching. There were times I had a huge smile on my face and tears running down my cheeks. Lionel is an ICON!

I always thought the best part was the Huey, Cyndi and Kim verse. I’m 59 and remember this being done at the time. I think the theme was Leave Your Ego At The Door. Then the video came out and everyone was simply stunned. It was a special moment in time. The 80’s were the best.

The song is amazing. Played world wide when I was in the 8th grade. Been listening to it for the past day after watching the Netflix documentary. Also discovered the remakes for Haiti.
