Lol cyndi was probably just not use to someone like patti singing on her song so it probably confused her somewhat. I'm sure doesn't mean she's a better singer get real. They are as good as each other. There's no denying Pattis got talent but they are very different cyndi has better qualities in her voice than patti and vice versa. It's a good match up sounds great. I don't know if anyone noticed but Pattie was looking at the teleprompter throughout the first half of the song (obviously didn't know the song by heart). The amazing part is, she got through it without most of us even noticing. Being the great singer that she is, she improvised and adlibed the rest of the way until the end. Years of doing concerts and singing live paid off for her.

But she is almost 75 years old, yes her voice is not what it was ,it doesn't supposed to be.. but she sounds really good on this video, better than what I've been hearing of her recently, but I've been a die-hard fan of Patti LaBelle and I am 41 years old now.. and I've been rocking it with her ever since... I will always love her, I have watched her come down through the years singing and singing, she has been pouring her heart out for many many years with that voice... Cyndi had vocal cord surgery before her album Memphis Blues was released. I have the feeling that since she had this operation she has been holding back on the high notes. In the past, Cyndi and Patti have always proved in their duets how powerful their voices can be, each in their own way. Cyndi's vocal potential is still tremendous. On her last tour with Rod Stewart, she occasionally belted out notes that made the audience stare in amazement and applaud her with thunderous applause.

Some are commenting that Cyndi didn't do well but she actually hit many impressive notes however Patti's always had a much larger voice (being a Dramatic Soprano) plus the camera person didn't focus on her when she was hitting those notes.
