I’ve suffered from depression since I was a kid. Unfortunately suicidal thoughts goes hand in hand. Some might think this is the wrong song to listen too. The older I get the more I can appreciate her. I didn't like her when I was young. But she brought authenticity and raw human emotion back into a music industry that was losing that fast in the 1980s and 90s. And her songs have a real sweetness to them, I mean that in the best way.

I used to hear this song when I was 12 during some hard times. Hearing it again after all these years really got me emotional. It's really sad when somebody has to experience the darkest period of their life as a 12 year old but that's what school bullies can do to you.
