I live in an RV in the mountains and Visible is my only internet source. I literally forget I don't have "real" internet most of the time. Every now and then, usually around dinner time, stuff will take a little longer to load but it's not bad at all. My phone bill + internet bill monthly payment went from like $120 plus tax to $25 flat. Been using Visible 6 months. Love it so much

Does it stay connected? I ordered a Gl.iNet router that's supposed to work the same way and it hasn't arrived yet but a lot of the reviews say theirs is constantly disconnecting and reconnecting. I really hope mine doesn't do that but i want a backup plan if it does.

Thanks for the info, man. You literally helped me figure out how to get a decent internet speed where I live away from my closest city. I'm at the county line and nothing reaches out here. Internet speed was 150 kb/s. Huge difference now. Not the fastest but I can stream and all now.

I watched this video first back in July 2020. I got the phone, than the wireless router. A little tricky at first for the hotspot, and app to communicate with each other, but once done, I was up and going. I been using my phone and wireless router to connect to the internet since. I tested, 2 laptops, 3 phones, and 2 tablets connected to the router. They all did fine. I stream movies on both laptops, and both tablets at the same time. There was times when the movies would finish without buffering. Than other times they would buff. KZbin videos playing on all the devices at the same time, played great. There is not to many videos on youtube that is really helpful. However, this one did help me. Plus I am on the party plan, in which I am only paying $25 a month, for phone, and internet services. What really makes this great, I can put my router in my pocket to connect devices anywhere.

Was able to drop directv, house phone, satellite Internet, totaling 200 a month, to 2 units thru visible for myself and my son for only 50 a month!!! ;-) Just need to find a wireless router, Rav's are hard to find, and a Android TV Box. Mikey: Thanks for your first vid on visible. I’ve been using it for a few months now with no problems. It will drop the device you are connected to if after a period time you aren’t actively using it. Lost one party plan member but easily got another quickly. Speeds are fine with no buffering for videos and simple games with 2 devices active. Got a $100 virtual credit card after a few months. Nice update on the service and your experience.

A Visible Newbie here. It's been one week and all is well so far with Visible service. The cheap visible swap phone isn't anything to brag about but it pretty much does everything across the board like any other Smart Phone. The Talk & Text works great and the HOTSPOT WiFi exceeded my expectations. TV Steaming No problems, resolution quality better than I expected.. I am using Visible now as my primary internet source and have already canceled Comcast/Xfinity internet and saving myself $60 a month. Only draw back with Visible is NO international plan.

well remember I'm a tech support guy just like you but you can't power up a city for $25. At the same point have you tried looking up your cell phone through a micro ethernet adapter. Not sure if you've heard of it but you can buy basically an adapter to your phone and it will connect to a wired router to make it faster. Or a hub either way there's some ways to make it faster but like you said of course visible we'll figure out a way to limit because think about it if you have thousands upon thousands of people using multiple devices it's going to clog their system however it's still an awesome system for what they're charging 25 bucks I plan to change from my current carrier to visible here in the next week. You can only connect one device to your phone at a time. But if that one device is a router like the RAV, then you can connect multiple devices to the RAV. The phone only reads as connected to one device.

I purchased the Ravpower file hub. I couldn’t get it to connect with my phone or laptop. I threw it in a desk drawer and its still there. I purchased a nano travel router and it works great. Been using the router for a couple of years now and have had no problems.

I'm very happy with Visible service. I'm waiting for the Ravpower router to be delivered. Even if it is slower, it is still better than paying $100 a month for Comcast internet. I will not be going back to Comcast.

Great video. I have been really happy with the Visible service. I switched from using Visible with a MoFi 4500 (SIM7) LTE router to using an older phone (Pixel XL) because the phone gets nearly 2X the speed of the MoFi (phone gets low 30s to mid 40s mbps depending on the time of day). Signal strength is good at my house so I just put the phone near a window. For those that want to get to a wired connection, I use a GL.iNET GL-MT300N-V2 mini/travel router. You can USB tether your Android phone to it and then come out of the LAN port and then to your main router for distribution. Only been on visible for a month, but so far so good. Great speed for $25/month.

The Sim 7 version doesn’t have carrier aggregation. The Sim 4 has carrier aggregation which will improve your speeds.

I originally planned on using the Mofi with T-Mobile so I bought the SIM 7 because it supports band 71 and that is the strongest TMobile band in my area.

I've used Visible for about 5 years now as my dedicated WiFi home Internet. I'm averaging over 300GB a month. I use a pixel 3 as my hotspot phone.

I've used several different phones on Visible over the past 5 years, like Pixel 2X, 3aXL, ONEPLUS 7 PRO, And a Galaxy S20 Plus, S21 ultra. For regular phone use they all work really well. I've compared it with Verizon side by side and there was really no difference in service or data soeeds. As far as using for WiFi hotspot, I would recommend a Pixel 3a or newer. They get the best signal, and the Pixels have little to no restrictions or throttling. I average about 10 to 12 Mbps down, using over 300 GB a month for 25$.

Is it the mofi? I’m also looking at the Kuwfi. I don’t think the nighthawk m1 will work with visible but the other two should. The speeds should be similar to what you get on your phone tho unless you can get the lte router to connect to a different band that has faster speeds

msiam I actually have just been doing research on the mofi and kuwfi modem/routers and I think they both should work with Visible APNs and wondering if I would see faster speeds since it acts more like “on device data” instead of hotspot data. I have been running Visible just through the hotspot on the cheap android visible phone. I bought a mini travel router to connect to the phone hotspot and rebroadcast the signal through that cheap $25 tp-link travel N300 router to connect other devices. since it is ultimately going through the hotspot speeds are usually around five or 6 Mb per second but I’m able to stream 1080P content on my Tv with it

Hey Mike. Me and my son both get this same issue at times with visible. We each have our own devices, the ZTE Blade. Working with one of their tech people, we learned, that when you lose, say, 50% of your data or hot spot signal strength, or ability to make calls, if you go into settings, go to reset for data, wifi, etc... and reset, then restart the device, then turn the hot spot back on, this resolves the issue. Once in a blue moon you may have to do it more then once.

They do offer the ZTE A3 Prime for $79 I think it was, not the greatest phone and super hard to find a good case for it, but it is ok. That party plan doesn't have to be just you you know. You can start a party and just get 3 total strangers to join that party (or find a party through someone else and join theirs) and as long as 4 people are in that party, everyone gets the $25/month plans. No need to buy and pay for 4 phone lines unless you just need that many.

I'd like to compare your findings with a phone that has better specs as the hotspot. That R2 is almost bare minimum as a desirable phone. Not saying a flagship will be any better, but certainly possible. My 2 old iPhones (SE1/6s) seem much more capable in modem/connectivity than my 2 ZTE phones with Visible(R2/A7prime). Although the Moto E6 seems also to have great modem/connectivity.

Download this app on the a7 prime and click on mtk settings then on band mode. It will let you lock in on a band. You can check one band at a time until you find the band that is the fastest. Then you check only that fastest band and it will lock it. You can download LTE Discovery app to and it will show you what band you are on... Thanks for the update. This video is spot on. I’m currently using visible for the first week and everything stated in the video is exactly what I’m experiencing with my setup. I’ve used well over 100 gigs in less than a week with 60 of that being used for hotspot and yes it’s unlimited but there are issues of lagging at times but the service does work pretty well depending if you are in an area with great Verizon coverage. I plan on testing visible against Verizon postpaid plan to compare the difference of performance. Just using my phone I’m currently getting between 20-100mbps downloads and 5-30 uploads speeds. Streaming speeds are capped at 2mpbs using both the phone and hotspot. Using the hotspot I’m getting 10-15mbps down and 5-10 up. I’ve seen videos using a mofi4500 modem when setup gives the full speed hotspot bypassing the visible speed cap.

Hello folks.. i have the mofi knock off from China.. it works well with the att sim card, probably will work well with the Verizon sim, but, i can't get it to work with the visible sim.. seems the only available isps available are the major ones like att, Verizon, t mobile, sprint, even cellular one and Cincinnati bell.. i enter the APN as vsblinternet and choose Verizon as my isp.. no workee!!.. any suggestions other than "buy a Mofi"?

If you never got an answer, go to their website and enter you device info in their compatible look up. I doubt if anything but cell phones are usable, Iphones will work, but you have to use their compatible lookup service.

That is essentially what I did. My Oneplus 7 Pro phone was already Visible approved so I ordered the SIM card and activated it on the phone. Then I took the SIM and put it in my Mofi4500 (SIM7 version) and all was well. I noticed I could get 50mbps on my phone, but "only" low to mid 20mbps on the MoFi. I think the difference was the SIM7 version of the MoFi doesn't have carrier aggregation, but the phone does. I eventually grabbed an older phone (Pixel XL) and just use it now instead of the MoFi.

rember once you get your mr1100 to run on visible it will work as a hot spot then change the mr1 to link to a router in your mr setup i use a netgear orbi with 3 satilights go 5.000 sq feet it will run fast even when you hook up 5 or more conntions even my nabor gets wifi..lol excuse my spelling and there is a program to unlock the mr1 if its not unlock need to look or even better use a mr1120 thats needs a router but half the cost of a mr1100 good luck

For two months, I still cant sign up for the service. It always says there's an issue with my payment n many many reps told me that they will need to delete my account completely so i can start fresh but they give me the round around evertime i chat with a rep. They always say the same thing. They will escalate right away but nothing changes. Anyone having this issue?

Do you owe them money or is it something to do with your card? I'm not sure I understand.?signing up for me was easy I just ordered the phones and the service gave them my card information three days later I had the phones in hand.. ported my numbers sent my old phones back and they gave me credit, all is good.

I've had visible for over 6 months (with my $19 R2 phone) as my primary cable/internet works great for me who is disabled and can't get out much plus on a fixed income. I just hope people don't get greedy and abuse or manipulate the hotspot and cause visible to change or stop this great service. GREAT advice on using more than one phone for multiple people.

not true about the speed. It will start the speed test at 11 or 12 and then throttle back to a perfect 5.

use a vpn your speeds will go faster if you pick a server close to the one visable uses and hook it up to a hot spot instead of useing a phone yes this is a great service for your house my up speeds are 60 and down load is 45 very fast

Great advice. What hotspot do you use? As far as VPNs go, I use Cybetghost. The Problem with cg is ALL of their servers are physically located in Germany. Even if the address is USA or ??? It's great for my laptop but horrible for IPTV services. Which VPN do you use?? Thanks

So as long as you are just using this as an antenna/amplifier and "not" a hotspot you do not have to register the device with Visible correct? I understand you can use a phone as a hotspot at no extra charge, but if you use an antenna/amplifier as the hotspot then that gear needs to be registered with to provider correct?

I would get like an iPhone XR, because apple does not allow carriers to limit how many devices the hot spot connection can take. I have my xr and a spare xr and get no issues in hotspot use. When camping in camper my spare iPhone XR on visible is for the camper internet and I run on 3 tv’s via roku devices and watch my KZbin tv same as I do at home. Now you can watch a you tubber called sneed mobile tech and he can tell you the best devices for the best operation for needs. I don’t know all the lingo for modems, processors and whatnot for the phones but sneed knows his stuff. All I know is I’m smooth sailing with my iPhone XR and visible. Better thank cricket, better than t-Mobile, unlimited hot spot, SOMETIMES capped at 5mbps. Not always some times I pull 20-30 down on visible hotspot and over 120 on the phone itself. Just incredible.

Have you ever used a signal booster for Visible, I asked them if they had one for their service but they don't. I tried to get Verizon and Visible to put an antenna array on a cell tower I can see from my house, no luck 😭

I'm not exactly sure how the setup process for really good household signal boosters work, but I know they're expensive and you're "required by law" to register them with a provider. I would look into this option before making a move, but maybe: you could splurge on a good signal booster (external antenna) and register it with Verizon. I would check with Verizon first and make sure #1 they'll do it, #2 that you live in a location where you can use one. Signal boosters cause interference, so they're almost always a no go in densely populated areas.

@@DCart007 awesome! This will work for your phone. Download this app from play store link below. Open app click on mtk settings then click on bandmode. Scroll down until you see the bands with check marks. Uncheck them all but one. Then hit the set button. Then do a speed test. If that band you checked wasn't fast then uncheck it then check another one and hit set. Do a speed test. Do this until you find the fastest band. Then keep the fastest band checked. It will lock that band that is checked and will not switch to the others. I have had service for a couple of weeks now... I check speeds at different times, sometimes I get almost 15 DL and other times I get less than 3 DL speeds, but even when I get less than 3 DL speeds my Hulu and Netflix still plays better than when I had Cox suckers... So far I have been a happy camper... FYI they gave me free phone's to boot! I got three free phone's and still paying 45 buck less than my last phone provider and unlimited hotspot, my last provider gave me 15 gbs that's gone in three days when I'm home 🤪😜 People cut the cable!
