I'm going to buy the XF900, if the battery is safe in rainy weather
@donratto2 жыл бұрын
I think it would be crazy to not be able to use it in the rain. Having said that, the plastic cap on the charging port doesn’t fill me with confidence. I’ve been covering mine with some waterproof tape as it’s a kinda loose fit.
@cyrushertech2 жыл бұрын
The battery is rated to be waterproof, To answer your question it would probably not be suitable dunked in water but is absolutely capable of being used in rainy weather

I've never had any problems with riding the xf900 in the rain. As the battery to the connection port is tight and about 5/10 millimetres from the bike frames, so no drips of rain can roll down the frame to the battery port. Hope this helps you.

Hi, Will my Kommoda battery perform as new after a year of normal use? (including winter pause.) And when will I expect to need to buy a new battery?

Does the charger light on the xf900 go from red to green when the baggery is fully charged? Mine has been on now for around 7 hours and still no change to the light on the charger?

What is the difference between the 650 battery and the 800, besides the electrical connection to the bike? Can the mounting connector replaced to be able to use the same battery for both bikes?
@cyrushertech2 жыл бұрын
So the XF650 is a hardtail bike, where as the XF800 has a rear suspension. In terms of battery, the XF650 has a 16ah battery, whereas the XF800 has a 13ah battery. The motor on the XF650 is a LKS (lankeleisi) brand, and the XF800 has a Bafang motor. The newest version of the XF650 also comes with a brake light. The components on the bikes are different, so they aren't interchangeable between models. Hopefully that answers a few of your questions!

The whole charger port on my 650 pushes in slightly when I plug the charger into it. I checked both screws and they are tight. That entire Square plate goes down into the battery ever so slightly like somethings loose. I am just being careful plugging it in and just hope it keeps functioning.

I purchased a Kommoda and have it remains in a box. It is cold here, and I was going to wait three months before unboxing it. But now I'm worried about the battery. What should I do?
@cyrushertech Жыл бұрын
We recommend removing the battery from your bike, charging it to 50-75% and storing it somewhere inside your house during the cold months
@johnfreed46512 жыл бұрын
What do you mean cycle the battery on the 650? If I ride 10 miles should I recharge to a full battery? Should I keep riding until the battery falls to a certain level?
@cyrushertech2 жыл бұрын
So the batteries are good for 800-1000 charges, so the less often you charge it, the longer the battery longevity will be. We recommend using the battery down to about 20-25% and then recharging, so taking several shorter rides and then recharging would be what we recommend

I have an XF 900 do l have to take the battery off the bike to charge it or can I leave it on and charge it?
@cyrushertech2 жыл бұрын
You do not have to take the battery off of the bike, but make sure it is turned off when charging

I brought a xf900 and it came with two batteries. So my question is .is it better to use them both alternatively or just use one untill the battery life ends then start to use the other one?
@cyrushertech2 жыл бұрын
That entirely depends on your style of riding, however lipo batteries don't really like to be stored without use for a long period of time so I would recommend using both alternatively
@thomaskeenan4732 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the info. I have been using them both. And it's great never having to wait for a battery to charge.

I’ve just got the bandit folding bike and i havent been able to find any videos on how to remove the speed limiter, if anybody could tell me how to do that that would be great!🙏🏼

I just checked with the higher ups and we do have a manual available that we can send you if you would like. The best way to get it would be to open a chat with us via the live chat on the website and request the manual there. We are still working on the helpcenter page for this model, so that is why there are limited resources available at the moment

Is the XF690 plus battery different to the XF690 MAXS battery?
@cyrushertech2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the 690 plus battery is slightly smaller and narrower while the MAXS has a wider battery and a few more AH

Do I need a Fire Safe Battery charging box?

A bag is not required however it is a very smart precaution to have a bag.

Hi, i have a xf690 and now after 580km the bike will turn off every time after 20-30km with four battery indicators left. The support told me this is normal and i need a new battery. A new battery after 600km is not normal. The battery still has 45v after shut down.
@cyrushertech2 жыл бұрын
Hi, it seems you have described a few issues with your bike, If the bike is suddenly shutting off I would think its a controller and or computer display issue. The best solution I can suggest is submitting a ticket on our website www.cyrusher.com/pages/contact There our mechanics can take a look at your battery and suggest possible solutions.

1:29 why this sticker says it needs to be "ON" while charging while you tell that the switch must be "OFF" when charging ?
@cyrushertech2 жыл бұрын
Not sure which sticker you are referring to but the switch needs to be in the "0" position (off) when charging to ensure the maximum life of the battery
@TerkelNL2 жыл бұрын
@@cyrushertech its the white sticker below the yellow sticker on the battery at 1:29
@cyrushertech2 жыл бұрын
Yes that sticker says "leave switch on" when charging but through our research and experience using the batteries on our bikes we have concluded that it is better for the battery to be turned off when charging. The battery will charge in the on position so if you feel that is more correct you can do that but it is also a common theme that lithium batteries turned on while charging can create damage to the battery overtime. Therefore we believe that to ensure the maximum life and health for the batteries it is best to charge them when they are turned off.

@@cyrushertech thx I leave mine off

Battery charger overheated and became too hot to the touch. The port on the charger has no positive/negative markings to insure polarity is correct when plugging into an outlet. The Battery itself only got warm .
