It's just annoying you can't watch one of these movies without watching all 500 of them, and catch every detail of every little story to understand what's going on. All these demons and forms, the names, the objects, the timelines, the people... too much to keep track of. I really don't need all that, give me a dude in a mask stabbing people at night. It's doesn't need to be this complicated, intertwined, connected, and involved with all the movies and back stories. These movies just fell victim to the Hollywood "sequel-itus" and got lost in the sauce. Admittedly even the Halloween movies did this too. As soon as movies start acknowledging the events of other movies is where I start to tap out unless there's a REAL GOOD reason for it.

James Wan describes an interest in an expanding universe with such a confidence you can already tell he had ideas for new stories; that's why so many franchises end up making garbage, they don't actually have a vision they just made a cool first movie that did well financially so they're like WAIT WE CAN MAKE MORE MONEY! About how La llorona could have gone to Los Angeles, that's easy: at the time of the Spanish Viceroyalty, that is when she would've live, California, Utah, Arisona, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas and part of Colorado and Wyoming were part of the "New Spain" territory so is not like La Llorona traveled from Mexico to USA, is that Los Angeles WERE Mexico when she was alive so... kind of makes sense that her curse can operate in all those states. In Supernatural they call them "Lady in White"

Right. There' ls nothing ancient about Wicca, it's a religion established in the modern era. IIRC one of the earliest iterations was Gardnerian Wicca, founded in the 1950's and noted for being misogynistic in its practices. People claiming Wicca is ancient in and of itself is like young Earth creationism in its lack of credibility.

What people don’t understand is that when a movie claims to be based on a “true story” the truth only has to be a minor part of the story. Ed and Lorraine Warren were real people, this is true. Ed and Lorraine were paranormal investigators, this is true. The first conjuring movie was based on a real family, as was the “devil made me do it” movie Do you get where I am going with this? You don’t have to believe in the paranormal, but at least use your common sense. It’s baffling that not many people understand that when movies say “based on a true story” it’s not a biopic, it’s entertainment sprinkled with a bit of truth.

Your videos are so fun! There may be no such thing as ghosts, god, or demons, but the movies are still fun to watch, and it’s cool wrong then all laid out this way!!

Knowing Annabelle is in a raggedy Anne doll makes it really hard to believe this collector/rarity narrative since Raggedy Anne and Andy are such a massively successful and popular franchise.

The LPotL episodes covering the Warrens really made this a better watch. Knowing what a PoS Ed was puts the movies in a new perspective lol
