Here young Archie is experiencing his 1st Harness lesson 🐎 ... and fast on his way to becoming a superstar Cart Driving Horse!
Archie has had some lessons in Ground Driving before this, to prepare him for the next step in his training towards being a smart and safe driving horse.
🔑 Learning to be "churchmouse" still when standing is highly important for the Driving Horse, as well as understanding and responding to requests on cue with the utmost obedience is also high priority to teach him for his upcoming work, to keep him and his humans safe at all times.
In this lesson you can listen to me talk through what I’m doing, what Archie is doing, and how Archie grows in understanding during his training and meets me in the sweet spot.
Plenty to learn here for horses in any type of training. So I hope you enjoy! :)

I was ground training my Icelandic mare and she would stop and I’d give her but a little hug. Before I knew it she was only working for those hugs.

It likely was t the Higgs she was wanting but rather the power that she gained over you when you were giving the Huggs. Distance from the horse gives us the advantage and the closer we get to the horse the more the advantage goes to the horse . The one who moves the others feet is In control of the relationship

This is his first drive and no he will probably only get another month before he goes home . He is a quote little rascal and just as kind as he is cute
