Wow, amazing timing as I wanted to make gluten-free strawberry shortcake for my friends this weekend! I am from Australia and often don't have the same rice flour as in Japan like mizuhochikara. Would any rice flour work? Arigato!

Thank you for your comment! Rice flour can vary quite a bit in texture depending on the type, even within Japan, so it's like an experiment! And experiments are fun. For example, if you use rice flour available in Australia, it might make the texture chewier, or it could turn out crispier. Either way, it could still be delicious! What matters most is your friend's health, so I’m wishing you the best for a yummy gluten-free strawberry cake.

@@100-qd3bj Aww, thank you so much for your reply! Hehe, its actually me who has Coeliac and so I end up making gluten-free recipes for my friends. This is a large request but I would love to watch bento box lunch ideas or any savoury lunch ideas on your channel.. I understand if you cannot because you do mostly baking but anything similar I would be so happy!! Also I saw this person's youtube account , "米粉100%おうちbakery(gluten free)" all their recipes use mizuhochikara, can that type of flour be replaced in recipes or would it only work with that kind of flour? Because I heard that mizuhochikara is a very specific type! Arigato again!!

Es scheint, dass du Zöliakie hast. Ich habe Verdacht auf IBS (SIBO), daher bin ich ebenfalls an einer glutenfreien Ernährung interessiert und praktiziere sie lockerer. Ich würde auch gerne ein Video über japanisches Essen machen. Wann genau das sein wird, weiß ich noch nicht, aber es klingt spannend. Wenn du Brot mit einer Haushaltsbäckerei backst, denke ich nicht, dass es ein großes Problem wäre, den „Mizuhoshikara“-Reismehl durch andere Sorten von Reismehl oder glutenfreies Mehl zu ersetzen. Auch wenn die Textur etwas anders sein wird, denke ich, dass du trotzdem etwas Leckeres backen kannst. Allerdings könnte es bei empfindlichen Teigen wie Schaumkuchen oder Génoise zu größeren Fehlern kommen, die dazu führen, dass sie schwer zu essen sind. Es könnte notwendig sein, mit den Mengen zu experimentieren, wenn du es zum zweiten Mal machst. Ich hoffe, es wird gut gelingen! :)
