Thanks for making that makeup tutorial! It really made my week! It's a really grundy look, something a lot of make up people on youtube never do. I don't really care about the drama around make up personally, just as long as it looks good, and wears well. That definitely look amazing! You're awesome, keep it up! Also I hope your situation gets better, regards I'm sure you'll do great! :)

NaneelQueenOfDarknes the fun of punk is that it's diy too, so you can make clothes to your taste and exclusively use patches of bands or political views that you like. it's not fully 'you' if it's the work and interests of someone else
@Livingdeadgirll7 жыл бұрын
nathan wackett very great points! If Justin were to make things to sell they would be DIY friendly items, blank canvases that have easy access for studding and sewing! I've made a few pieces for Etsy that have one general theme to them & always encourage the progression of DIY once they receive the item! 🤘🏼

How do you keep them looking so clean?! I've had a couple crusty boyfriends in the past and theres no way they'd ever let me wash their pants! In NZ we don't call them 'patch pants' but riggies (short for originals, i think?)
@Livingdeadgirll8 жыл бұрын
he washes them every six months or so! just gives them a bath, soaks them in detergent for a bit. he likes looking dirty but actually being dirty is another story! hahaha. he's just as much a clean street punk as he is a crusty kid. very equal parts of both hahaha.

Oh for the bleaching of clothes you needa find out what color the black is based on the most popular color is red based black and that's why it bleaches to red but to make it turn white you needa find a black based on blue and it'll make it turn white

@TheOneTrueAJ8 жыл бұрын
For pocket sewing, you can cut the pocket out, replace with the fabric, then sew on. Or sew the fabric on the cut off part, then sew it back on. Maybe a little more work. But it could even out depending on how fast of a sewer you are. Especially how long sewing through the pocket will take. And I have an honest question not meant to be prodding: about the serial killer patch. And I believe you had another serial killer patch in another video. Why glorify a serial killer? I see people do all the time from horror movies and fictional characters. Which is fine, that's completely different. But real life murderers and people of evil are pretty different from fiction. Should it not be viewed the same as Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party? The message I get is you approve of the killer's work. Are there details in the killer's stories that I don't know about that somehow justify their murders?

Hey, I know this is probably pretty old, but you did say to "ask questions" so here we are lol. How do you guys deal with punk elitists and negativity in the punk scene? I was shocked (but I guess I shouldn't have expected any less) to see a LOT of Elitism and negative bullshit in the punk scene (at least online, most people don't say shit in person). Do you receive any/much harsh criticism on your DIY clothes (crust pants, vests etc) or the bands you like?
@Livingdeadgirll7 жыл бұрын
For a subculture that was created to escape the bullshit, it sure creates a lot of bullshit. Ive found it best to find the most legitimate people in your scene. These are the ones you can have a conversation with, even if you disagree, with out it becoming negative. Stick with these people, they're most often than not the ones in it for the right reasons. I see where you're coming from with your comment about it mostly being online, pretty much everyone we know that have a problem with us or our friends will blow steam out of their ears when were around but never ever say a word to us. I feel like you just have to take a negative comment in, evaluate it, be sad or mad about it, then move on. If we dont let ourselves feel the emotions that we need in order to brush it off, it will fester. Lately ive been playing around with the unfollow button for anyone who i find to be a major part of the tension in your scene. Ive also been retracting myself and my opinions from places like facebook, where most of the negativity brews. As for in person, you just have to show your disagreement with the way people are acting. If they're being fools, shake your head. Dont feed the ego of someone on a power trip by laughing at a shitty joke made at a new comer, stand up to things you disagree with as much as you can in a calm and mature manner. Its the only way to let people know you're not fucking around. True Elitism is trash, jp likes to make sly jokes about stud count but hes the first to accept a new person into a scene regardless of what they're wearing.

Livingdeadgirll Thank you for taking the time out to formulate a lengthy and comprehensive reply! I was Punk for a few years starting around 16, made a band with my two cousins, even recorded some awful DIY demos/eps/albums. Mostly had a great time. Later I got more into Metal and heavier subgenres etc. I'm now getting back to my punk roots only to discover an extreme amount of elitism and negativity. Which I was hoping wouldn't exist in a like minded community of Punks. You have the old Punks who "Saw Sex Pistols just starting out" back in the day and are in their 50's, who are telling every newcomer they're "Posers" and "Hipsters". And you've got the newer Punks being super snotty and critical about everything you do or say (even if it's simply asking a question about preference).
