So much fun I had to do it again! This time it was in the heart of the Cherokee Nation at the foot of the Ozarks, not to mention a short walk from the Arkansas border. Warrant had just played the Hard Rock in Tulsa the night prior and had just enough time for a free show before having to fly home.
The Seven Bar at the Cherokee Casino was a most interesting venue, though it came with it’s challenges. The stage was elevated nearly a story off the ground and was a separated from the audience by a bar that ran it’s entire length. This was easily the furthest I’ve been from a band while also being up front. The Seven Bar was also equipped with plenty of televisions, and while I found the experience unusual, I got to watch the NFL Playoff game between the 49er’s and the Packers during the performance.
Though they only played for an hour, glam metal icons Warrant sounded as great as ever and blazed through most of their hits. Featured is the title track from their 1989 debut album, ‘Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich’. The album featured original vocalist Jani Lane and a lot of the band’s early hits such as ‘Down Boys’, ‘Sometimes She Cries’, and ‘Heaven’. Please enjoy this front-row view of their performance!
