My mom and 2 of my grandmas died with in the same year. We played this song at my mom's celebration of life. I cry every time I hear it and I always will. Grateful for the song and memories. She loved this group.

I am not a parent, but I am a son, and this hits home so much. I am so terrified when I lose my mom. As I was growing up I learned to hide my emotions and keep them deep down. These reactions get my emotions flowing.

My dude, don't ever feel like you're less of a man or a person for crying to a song that is MEANT to elicit emotion. I'm not even a father and this song hits hard. I can't imagine not being there for my family. There are songs that I just can't listen to because I can't listen to them without crying, one of them being five finger death punch (because of course) gone away, because the lyrics hit me so hard every time because I WOULD take the place of anyone that I've lost, in a heartbeat. You love your family, and you want to be there for them, don't ever feel like you need to feel ashamed of that.

I just got back from visiting my dad who passed away when i was 13, I’m now 22 with a year and a half old daughter and another in the way, there has been soo much that my dad wasn’t here to see but the thing that hurt the most was realizing he’d never meet his grand kids.. two days ago was the first time I’ve had to see his grave in 5 years and it was the first time I’d ever brought my daughter.. watching her put her hand on his picture and then lay down next to where his casket was dropped hit me in a way i never thought could happen. But it made me realize that he’s still here watching over us, this song is so perfect with the things he taught me about how important time with loved ones is but for it to also come from a band he raised me on and the timing of this reaction.. my heart is crying 😭😭

Hey brother, I understand your pain. My father passed away 4 months before my son was born. Dad and I would talk about what it means being a father. He was so excited to meet his grandchild but, that day would never happen. It’s important that we take the time to spend with loved ones because it can all vanish in an instant. Cherish the time we have.

When I first heard this, I heard it from my daughter's POV. That was months ago. Today, I sat down with the local funeral home and started pre-arrangements for when my time comes. One of the tasks that I'm trying to pre-plan (after taking care of my Mom's arrangements) is music for the celebration of life. This song is on that list.

I know that this video is over a year old and dont know if you will see this but I need to thank you for your reaction. I lost both parents 2 years ago about 6 months apart. It was and still is sometimes a hard time for me. I have always love FFDP music and seeing your point of view on this song means a lot. Knowing that other people are dealing with the same things I am. I am also a 40 year old father of 3 and this song hits hard. Again thank you for this. It really hit me in the feelings and allowed me to see that life is shorter than any of us can know but we should live each day looking at the brighter side of the grey that is this life because you never know when it may be you or a loved ones last day.

Never delete any of your videos, your kids will love watching these when you're gone. I know I would. There is a video where my father sleds down a hill laughing, and I go back to it every now and then.

I’m a year late in responding. Just discovered you and FFDP fairly recently. I’m quite a bit older than you at 68 and just wanted to say that there is no shame in crying. In fact, it’s actually good to have a cry now and then. It releases endorphins, the tears clear your eyes, better for your mental health and so on. Some people are more sensitive than others. I respect a person more when they are not afraid to show their emotions. I like your channel.

I can’t give myself time to sit and “listen” to this song or I become emotional as well. I have left my daughter an hour long video of my advice and so on should something happen to me. But I also feel this from the other end. My mom passed suddenly and she was in so much pain it was her choice. I know if I feel this way about mine and my daughters relationship she felt the same way with ours. Love you mom and miss you all the time. We all do and when my baby girl tells me she misses you it still kills me.

Brother don't ever feel bad about showing emotion, you are a stronger man for showing it! This song hits hard every time I listen to this, another song that brings out this same feeling is Three Days Grace - Lifetime, just came out not long ago, it takes a special person to feel proper emotion from music. Stay strong brother.

this song hits close to home while been dealing with suicidal ideation from my failures cant find my path in life anymore. and ongoing health issues for a year. its hard to keep faith in the lord aswell. maybe this is all happening for a reason or i just have terrible luck. im 21 i dont want meds i just want relief. just no one understands mental health until they wake up everyday not wanting to live then they will understand.

Hmmm when Ivan is in the mood he can write some really beautiful stuff. And the bands name is appropriate because sometimes, emotionally they hit below the belt. But hey someone has to tackle the hard stuff. I'm glad we have people like FFDP. And you you too brother, keep on keeping on. If the worst happens, I'll make sure they know. We all might be hooligans but we're hooligans that have each other's backs.✊

Hey man, I first came across your channel doing Falling in Reverse- Popular Monster and the Trilogy reactions...... I only just came across this and your other FFDP reactions... suffice to say that I'm sure you've learnt by now that IVAN MOODY is not a typical rock star and had a far from perfect or even "normal childhood" I love his music because he wears his heart on his sleeve and is just truly authentic.... i always knew you were a real dude from your Ronnie Radke (FIR) vids back then...... I remember seeing you emotional in the 'Wrong side of heaven' reaction ages ago.... but just saw this one today....... and I fucking stand, cheer and applaud you for you open heart reaction, and emotional tangents and as another DAD myself, I wish there were so many more people like you getting seen and heard that "tictok and Hashtags" were eventually Phased out by people actually giving a F@$K about each once again. It was an honour to watch this and see true emotion from another guy that grew up in the screwed up 'big boys don't cry' generation Now I'm ranting on.. lol .. suffice to say emotions are a good thing to accept, feel and understand whenever the - late night need to get aw

It’s funny, a couple of weeks ago I mentioned that this song will be on my funeral playlist as well however I had forgotten about hold on to memories and I’ve cried to that song a bunch of times when my father was going through a really bad clinical depression. I didn’t expect to cry today during my lunch but oh well here we are. You’ve gained a fan today, stay strong friend, showing emotion is never a bad thing, it lets you know you’re a sane person.

Uff such an intesive feeling from a Father dont sounds famillya for me. But i rly hope thats just the truth meaing behind such words. Im from Germany and a lot of Familys are fcking broken, to see such a Feeling from a Father is in one way very Emotional and in the other way im a bit of jealous (i hope this word is correct ^^). But wherever ure Kids are i hope they know what they get. Its not natural to have such a Parent. Honor for u Love ya. AND ure not even close a Mess man. U made my Life avery Day with Reactions and Feelings like that. I enjoy it al lot cause i missed so much of these in my own Family im glad theyre others who can Life this way

Understanding you and yeah profilling you towards your audiance. Don't have the bar and odds are very high that one is going to know when I insult them. Warning, I guess. I'm not trying to insult, but I think I understand where your comming from with your reaction. What do I know. I'm single veteran guy who knows nothing of being a parent. In my experences in life, such wasn't in the cards. Mustn't rolled the critical role dice to have kids. Hope that's more then enough information stating that in paranting. I maybe not the best person to speak on such matters. Matters learned from actual experence. Have none as a parent. Old School. From my experence, I try not to ever play the "what if" secnariou game to decide how to live life. If there be a actual multiverse, then wouldn't that logically make such thoughts a waste of potential energy that needs to be focused on what's really important. The things you allude to towards the end of this song. Your response is establishing what type of guy you are. In that, is is wrong of me to say that your clearly a BAMF? I hope you know what is a BAMF?
