Yes, according to SoSo and Tony One Week, Eedris acted irresponsibly but his action brought about a change but went about it the wrong way. But for there to be a change, Liberation or Freedom, there have to be sacrifices. At the end of the day, same Eedris paid the biggest price as he was blacklisted after that act but when other American Stars came after, Nigeria Artist were given their due respect. Eedris is an OG who used to be one of the biggest Dog THEN, and need to know his time has pass and to stay relevant need to accept and colabo with the current trending Artist as the Big dogs of the day.

I listened to eedris interview and realise one thing. Eedris was the biggest artist in Nigeria at that time. He was in the best position to understand the subtle or blatant disrespect by the Nigerian organizers of the show towards the Nigerian artist. He had no direct beef or fight with 50 cent, his issue was with the organizers who made no real or respectable arrangements for the Nigerian artist that were to perform along with 50. He may have been a bit confrontational with the issue, but I still wont fault his argument. 50 was paid 4 million dollars for that show, even if he was the biggest rapper in the world, still good to give some respect to your own base.

Personal issues with individuals are different from a single action that influenced a whole industry. His action with 50 cent changed the dynamics in show promotion in Nigeria. I understand personal issues with group members,Eddy and Toni, but other people complaining about him are partly jealous of his revolutionary achievement. Give him his flower and advise him to mend fences with those who genuinely deserve it.

I was already listening to a few Nigerian rappers before Idris came onto the scene. It's true that Idris had a strong voice when he started, but that doesn't make him the first Nigerian rapper. I'm in my mid-50s, while some of you listening to Idris's interviews may be under 40. Many paved the way in the music industry before Idris. If anyone should be speaking about the impact on the Nigerian music industry, it should be Baba Fela. Idris, stop attacking both the old and new Nigerian artists. Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, also known as Burna Boy, has achieved incredible success by taking Nigerian Afrobeat to an international level. Stop attacking him and other younger artists who are excelling despite the hate. Instead of insulting our young Nigerian superstars, collaborate with them. Remember when you disrespected Charlie Boy? You failed to respect many of the pioneers in the music industry, like Daddy Shoki, Tony One Week, and Mr. T, yet you demand respect and recognition from the younger generation. I can't stand nonsense. Just stop.
