You guys are getting me to look so much deeper into the lyrics than I ever would have thought possible. This beef with MGK got my analytical mind to take his skills a lot more seriously. Your reviews reignited a love for hip hop that only gets renewed with peeps like joyner or kendrick. I haven't had this much fun anticipating response tracks in years! Thank you! Subbed!!! One note: You guys are sometimes cutting off the bars before his idea is complete... what I'm waking up to is the fact that to call this man talented is slander. He's a genius in the true sense of the word. His word placement has double and triple meaning in both the sounds of the words ("who you ARE Kelly/R. Kelly" "Thames/temps might freeze",etc.) and meanings = a true rap god! One thing that's really important in why I call him this is the relationship of his verses in these songs to each other from the beginning to the end of the song. He carries the same theme throughout and refers back to pervious stanzas... really important to read his lyrics like a poem not just two bars that are tangentially related to each other. And going back, looking at his earlier stuff it's starting to look like all the songs Eminem has done are connected in a way that makes him his own Marvel Universe of tangential subjects, themes, stories - it's all connected whether he's referring back to revival in the songs/ videos of this album or his earlier work, he has so much more to him than the one dimensional box that everyone wants to put him in and he's not having it for a second and letting us know on top of it: whether it's race baiting, age shaming, rich shaming, or fame and attention vultures making the mistake of thinking he's fallen off and is dead. They just awoke a giant ....aaaand "gave him enough gas (anger) to flood his engine"!!! f'in brilliance! there's so much so many of us miss in his lyrics that are freaking genius writing period. What i like about your channel is that you guys have the memory, history, knowledge, wisdom and respect for hip hop history& philosophy on life that makes your voices unique in breaking the music down. Mind 🤯. Now I've been Going back to his old shit since this whole Hornets nest got kicked over. Thank you MGK!!!!!! ....aaaand oh yeah, care bear stare!!!!! Although, as a kid growing up in the 80s, I was more partial to the Popples, but had my care bear love, too 😉
