I Love you guys . My egfr has been hanging between 55- 62 creatinine is 1.3-1.4 but my albumin /creatinine ratio was 7 last time I had I checked! I ate advil like candy when I was younger doing construction . I don't really feel the need to worry to much about . I still wonder if I should after watching you two for years now . What a blessing you both are ! Happy Holidays .

I have stage3b. Chronic interstitial nephritis apparently caused by Oxylates as I’ve had a gastric bypass BPD (DS). I need to have higher level of protein. I’ve listened to a lot on Carnavore and there seem to be many success stories. Obviously not your route but wondered if you’ve listened to those on that side. My challenge is I need super low Oxylates and high protein so it seems semi blessed to look at Leto/carnivore.

Where in Italy are you? I am currently learning Italian and plan to retire to Italy in late 2031. My wife’s great grandfather is Italian and both of my kids. Can’t wait to explore Italy when they get a little older.

When it comes down to it is it really necessary to have a kidney biopsy? Or is that just another unnecessary test to have done?

I am 35 years old. My serum creatinine level is 5. But don't have any health issue. I am fit and can do my daily work very smoothly. As such I don't have any other problems. Now how can I lower my Serum Creatinine level. My BP is high.

Thanks for sharing. What is your urine albumin /creatinine ratio? Have you reduced your protein intake? Thank you.
@evelynaustria522713 күн бұрын
@@jane-123-e3ydo you believe in what she’s saying? From stage 3 now stage 1? I believe stage 3 remains stage 3 and that’s all. Meaning you’re good if you remain on that stage, because kidney once damaged do not heal anymore. You’re just prolonging it. You’re good if you follow kidney diet and it stops progression,,, that’s it. I just don’t know why these people are misleading ckd patients like if they keep watching their videos and follow them, damaged kidney will heal, haha

My egfr is declining my test last year was egfr 6 and protein in urine, I demanded an ace or arb from me nephro here in Australia and they said they would not prescribe it because "Im too far gone" and my kidneys would not handle an ace or arb which is driving me crazy. The blood pressure meds they give me initially worked but now Im back to 170 bp so I stopped taking them because they made my dick into some freaky veiny painful thing that if the romance came along i could never use again which i dont care about but when i wake up with an erection the pain is EXCRUCIATING

I wouldn’t worry about three a at your age unless you have other issues such as protein or blood in your urine. The latest recommendations are for people over 60 a normal GFR would be a round 60 if there is no blood or protein in the urine. Stay active, keep your blood pressure controlled, and live a heart healthy life.

Missed Superchat at the end, but that's alright. My Dad 62 who has been Diabetic Nephropathy patient since last 4 years, creatanine shot significantly from 3.5 to 5.5 and 8 in just 2 months. 2 weeks back he suffered cold, shivering, infection due to tooth ace, we got the root canal done, he is recovered fine now but all the Docs are suggesting go for Fitsula & eventually dialysis. Overall he is able to urinate, no symptoms, reduced edema, just occasional coughing but he did have significant weight loss. Now with GFR of 7 and Hb 7.8 should we go Fitsula or there is a chance we can buy some time. We are in India. Current medicines: BP: Cilnidipine 20 Prostate: Geritam 0.4 Bun Pro Forte Sodium Bicarbonate Ecodecosa 500 Iron: Oxemia 100 Edema & BP: Nephtor 10

I did it for 8 months after my kidneys went into shock a few months after a bone marrow transplant to cure leukemia in 2009. Yes, 12 hours a week is a whole lot better than being dead. Food never tasted better after leaving the dialysis clinic. Lol!
@DADVICETV18 күн бұрын
It’s not that dialysis is the end, is that it has a negative impact on the quality of life and people need to be prepared for that. We want to make sure that when people go on dialysis it is because they need to be on dialysis. The old standard of putting people on dialysis when their kidney function was low Without trying to manage their symptoms, has proven to not be the best guideline. But luckily, that is changing, and the latest guidelines are placing people on dialysis at a much lower kidney function based on the patients symptoms and risk.

It sounds like your kidneys may be stable, it is normal for your EGFR to bounce up and down a little bit within a range. That’s why we focus on the trends. Keep your blood pressure controlled, stay active, and eat a heart healthy diet. If you have any bad habits, such as smoking, now it’s a great time to work on ending those
