I don't comment normally but I do love watching these. The Ori were a formidable foe but their ultimate weakness all came down to 2 things, the Ark of Truth and the Sangraal.

From Anubis onwards, all SG was anymore was an ongoing search for a macguffin that was a deus ex machina. As much as I liked the show, it became difficult to ignore. It was repeated in Atlantis except that that role was generally played by Mckay's ability to wizard them out of a situation.

@@martintaichl i had my jaw drop when i saw the scene with the supergate. They just plowed through a brand new asgard warship like it was nothing. I think at this point the only thing that would make them scarier is if they were shown taking a direct hit from the antartica wepons platform (with thousands of drones) and survive without a scratch, destroying the platform in the process, or if they immediately started cracking planets apart 😂

@@nosknut well we know that the ancient weapon platform was not capable of destroying the fleet of the Ori warships, so that would be completly ok. However I simply cannot do something like that as there wouldnt be scenes i can use :(

@@nosknut The Asgards sent an older ship not a new ship, that was actually stated. The Asgard beam weapon and their shields proved very effective against the Ori once Earth inherited their technology.

Unfortunately here in my apartment I have Stargate SG-1 season 1, 2, 3, 6 and 7 and Stargate Atlantis season 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 and Stargate Universe season 1. These series on DVD disc with cover or in boxes was the only series I could find in a shop here in my hometown Aalesund which I bought for some years ago. That shop not exist here in my hometown anymore. Because the owner of that shop had another bigger shop in Oslo. I have to look other places in Norway to buy the remaining seasons of ST SG-1, STA and STU I am missing, when that time comes. No, unfortunately I have no season of ST SG-1 with the Ori here at home yet.

Should have a space ship with astrometrics lab like the one in Star Trek Voyager a found the shield frequency in all ori ships or have call the Centuri, Mimbari, Shadows and Vorlons to destroy the Ori Ships. What will happend if you open a hyperspace directly in front or under the ori ships? You know what happend in Babylon 5 in the beginning. When Mimbari made a trap to the human, when they opend a hyperspace directly over them.

How did people with middle ages thinking and no education build the Ori motherships even with oversight. Why weren't the Earth ships at least fitted with large rail guns, 1 ton tungsten rods at hyper velocity would do more damage that those self defence weapons. Looks like the missiles are breaking up when they hit the force field without the warhead exploding. They need to explode when the missile hits the shield to at least weaken the shield, why couldn't we reverse engineer the beam weapons of the Goa'uld? The Goa'uld 's tech seemed to be based on their mastery of gravity. I think their weapons were heavy graviton based particle weapons.

question one - answer: The power of the Ori. question two - answer: there are no weapons such as this in SG, no traditional railguns like in Exapnse question three - answer: goaulds do not have any beam weapons so we have nothing to reverse engineer. The closest thing to a beam weapon was AG3 and even that was just in Daniel´s mind statement four - it was said in numerous episodes that goauld projectiles are actually plasma, so no graviton. ;)

@@martintaichl They have railguns. They spit out projectiles at 10,000 rpm, anti fighter defences but hardly of use against a capital ship. These are the guns you see the earth ships firing. They are like a Phalanx CIWS in size. They reverse engineered Goa'uld power systems, propulsion systems etc, Goa'uld weapons should have been just as easy. They had a Goa'uld Atash they used to acquire the tech for their Prometheus class ship. A plasma is composed of highly energetic ions, the nucleus of an atom without the electrons, a graviton is just a particle thought to carry the force of gravity. When SGI was trapped underground and Atash were bombing the area, the plasma pulses were slow moving but had a significant impact on hitting the ground. All just conjecture anyway.
